Well that's better than a lot pissed off, and a little pissed on. Not sure what ass to mouth has to do with anything though. In any case I hope you feel better.

Nah, this really isn't something to be celebrated. It's never good seeing family or friends fail. There is some satisfaction to watching them learn they were wrong, but hopefully they don't get hurt in that process. The scary thing is when the safety net is removed and they get pushed out of the tree for real. Some just stay on the ground and die. I fully realize that would probably be me if my parents didn't care too much. Then they grasp at straws, couch surfing and maybe find a shit job to actually afford some low rent housing. At worst there is homelessness and starvation. Then life is boring and depressing so you go out and find drugs because you desperately want something, anything to be different and take your mind off just how bad things have gotten. School never did prepare you for the real world anyway, all it did was teach you how to follow orders and do work. No it's goal has been to mould you into something acceptable for the workforce. If you're lucky you go to a good secondary education school to make better money and help the millionaires make the billionaires richer.

What made your day?

I don't know, I feel that the anti-Trump crowd is throwing anything at the wall at this point just to see what sticks. It's not good and it just makes them look scared and weak instead of making Trump look more guilty. What they should have done is drop some of the lesser charges instead first. This also just makes Trump look even more like a martyr to his crowd. I still don't know who will win if both manage to make it past the primaries, I just know that it won't be us. -

Everyone does eventually anyway. :P -
For me it depends on the country. Older stuff was always better. I think Bo put it best: I put "yellow on purple" in quotes, came right up: Any search engine worth a crap will let you do a boolean search.

Yet you continue to do so :P It's good though, at least there's some catharsis in it. -

No teeth you say? I don't know why she can't find a man either, I bet she gives great head :P See, I knew you kids were smart. The problem with adopting any animal that has been abused is gaining its trust. Took us a bit with our dog but she wants to be loved and accepted so bad. Still sometimes if you go to pet her the wrong way standing up she gets a bit scared. Some animals are easier to rehabilitate than others too. Some are just too far gone that they never really recover. Although I've heard many stories of "they were so scared most of their life but in the last few years they warmed up." Yeah that's probably because they went senile, or somehow knew they were at the end and just stopped caring. We've never really had a bad dog except for two. One was a bit too angry nippy as a very small puppy, and the other was a rescue and nippy out of fear. Never really owned cats but I dealt with a few, and while most were great there were a few assholes there too. Really, animals are very much like people and each have their own personality. Unfortunately some just happen to be sociopaths. -

I heard they got it from the Action Park liquidation sale:

I mean it is, but I still follow it a lot of the time. I can tell when the milk is no longer as fresh when the date gets closer. The FDA mandates that dates be put on things because people are dumb. Really it's a great idea and I like to add the date I bought something too so that I better know when I have to pay the ADHD tax. That said it should just be used as a guideline. Some things you should absolutely avoid using/eating though as they can become dangerous. I think there was a site for expired medications too but I can't find it. This may work as a guide though, but that seems like a lot of data to parse. Really a lot of this is to generate more waste to get you buying replacement products sooner than needed and can be considered as just another part of planned obsolescence.

Pictures That Describe How You Feel
Scary Guy replied to phee's topic in Pictures, Photography and Art
The unfortunate thing is that people really see old folks as just dumb people with money. Easier to trick because the brain has started to rot and they don't keep up with what's going on, and financially stable from a lifetime of work. This is why so many shitbag scammers try to call and get people to part with it. Medicare is a super popular one since they can just ignore everyone under 65. Computer tech support is also popular because it really is just a magic box. I guess it's easier than having a real job. Guess you can't sell your soul if you never had one to begin with. (Also note that I believe in those and it's really just a literary vehicle for morals and ethics in the context that I'm using it in. There is also no one to sell it to anyway.) -

Honestly not sure I'm a fan of that unless the edges were cut down/folded in a way that it wasn't as sharp of an edge. Still better than one of those old actual paper plates though I'm sure. I feel like that type is coated in plastic or something because why the hell not? -
I do as well, here have this in return: Though that's not really country (and I do like actual country, not what passes for it these days.) Here's a version of this song I do not hate too: I have more but I can't remember what they are right now.

That's good, I'm going to send it to a few people.

Alyse liked this one in particular: I should play more of his stuff.

Oof, hope you stay okay. Also that you get past the sad.

Oh no, we totally solved that in 1964 with the Civil Rights Act :P But seriously, racism (and tribalism in general) has always existed and even more unfortunately it will continue to exist as long as there are differences we can point out about eachother as humans. There has and will always exist people who know it's wrong and those are split into two groups. Namely those who remain silent about it and those who actually do something to try to fix it. Though for some it depends on the issue, like the one black guy I knew who is all for interracial marriage but also against gay marriage (but that's because he is also religious.) Again, this shit was eye opening: I think of myself as "time objectivist" where as objectivism sees money as the most valuable thing, instead I see time as the most valuable thing (at least on a personal level*), since you can always make more money but you can never make more time. *One could argue that money is more important since you can use that to better your condition and if you want that of your peers and society. However objectivism sees altruism as dumb anyway, and altruists return that sentiment in kind.

Someone saw what Zlad did and said "yes, let's do that." Oh, HD reupload too!:

How many cables do you need, and what type? For example, I have a drawer FULL of IEC C13 power cables (and a couple C13-E too.) In fact there is a pile of cables I don't even want that I've just been too lazy to throw into the recycle bin because "I might need this someday" which to be fair I sometimes do. I really want to put a powerCON into my computer setup because that's just neat but also completely unnecessary.

Any idiot can overcharge people for food, underpay wait staff, and rake in profits. To run it properly though takes talent. They're practically a license to print money if you're in a good area with high foot traffic. If you can have a gimmick/theme (which I have a few ideas for) then that can get you pretty far. Like Tony's which was famous for giving A LOT of food. I haven't eaten there in forever but I remember there being a line. I don't even know how I managed to eat all that but I guess I was a hungry kid. I heard the real story is they either lost power or has the freezer die, so they didn't want to waste the food. One of these days I'll get back up that way and try it again. Either that or just open a bar right next to an IHOP. Then just allow people to order/bring in food. Less to worry about, though you still need a food license for the lemons, limes, cherries, ice, etc... If you really want to know more you can learn a lot by just reading the LCC's documented policies. I did that years ago for Mephisto's when I was helping out there. Or again, open the bar next to the retail shop. Bonus, get @et-novum to run the bar and make it a cyber cafe. Call it the "Smart Pub" or something to dunk on those Mac assholes at the "Genius" bar. I remember also going to a cyber cafe around here years ago with a friend of mine for an after hours party that was upstairs. There was a DJ playing techno, bartender, and you could buy whippets from a booth. I was eating it up because it felt pretty cyberpunk being upstairs from the cafe, and it was also the early 00s so the music didn't suck yet.

I wonder what he says about you when you're not around...
