Unfortunately I can't find anything about that online and I don't really trust Tiktok videos. As they say "anecdotal evidence isn't." I'm not saying it's fake, but he could have at least left a note detailing the reasons why, or the next of kin could have shown the contracts and letters. Honestly I hope it is fake because that would be a horrible thing to happen, but unfortunately I'm sure things like that happen all the time. Not that people need to make up stories anyway, as Trump has a well documented history of stiffing his employees. I am shocked and amazed that anyone who signs on doesn't ask for all of the money up front let alone agree to work for him at all. Sadly everyone wants (or needs) that big payday I guess. As far as his followers go yes, most of them are dumb as shit. However there are some really smart people supporting him. No one gets to be POTUS by being surrounded by morons especially if they themselves are a moron. However most of those people are either also con-artists, have agendas of their own (be it fascism, foreign influence, etc..), or they have some major cognitive dissonance going on. I hope he gets convicted but who knows what powderkeg that might ignite. I'm sure everyone sees that as a possibility and I hope they have the courage to go through with it anyway. Nevermind the fact that whatever device you have now is perfectly adequate if you don't play AAA games or watch content in 8K raw format. Also that it just adds to the pile of ewaste or that donating it would probably be more helpful if you were to get rid of it. Also that they've cheapened the hell out of everything and added in even more TPM and spying backdoors on the hardware level. It's things like that which make Ted look like an anti-hero to quite a few people. The problem is most people just don't care that this is happening. We all have a carbon footprint and are destroying the earth for new cool gadgets that admittedly some of which do make our lives a little easier but we could still do without them. We are totally the lobster in the boiling pot that is just content to sit there as we don't notice that it's starting to get a bit warm. Then the rich will build safe havens from all of that while a lucky few will get to work as slaves (if that hasn't been automated yet) while the rest of us languish and starve on the outside of whatever utopia they construct for themselves.

I don't go out during the rain and I'm armed so there's less of a chance of that unless it sneaks up from behind, and I live in a brick house with the toilet in the back and another under it in the basement. In any case, the chances of all that happening are low. Someone deciding to come back here however is generally much higher. After all many of the people in this thread have come back.

Except when it comes to CEotW, apparently :P I mean it's been years, for all I know she might have changed. I only saw her briefly over two days and we didn't talk much at all. Some people don't change though and I will totally hold a grudge. I did have a high school bully apologize to me once. I was going into a hospital and he was working security (probably failed at becoming a cop.) Anyway that was pretty good of him especially since he wasn't even that much of a bully. Barely even thought of him up until that point. So I'm not saying it's impossible, just usually unlikely. Also even if one does change that doesn't erase the sins of the past. Unfortunately because of my bad memory I will forget but I will not forgive. I keep going around hating motherfuckers and I can't remember why.

Not bad, though I was kind of hoping the back would look like an actual sword and have straps hiding the pegs, but I really shouldn't expect that much in two hours. If it's just against a building though it's fine I'm sure. Maybe throw some blood at it to make it look more authentic though, and that shouldn't take too long.

We can weigh in on anything. Doesn't mean that anybody cares though (like me weighing in just now!)

Absolutely nothing new here. People could have the plague and unless forced to shut down the majority of restaurants and eateries will run business as usual. Ask them if they want another pandemic, because that's how you get another pandemic. If everyone just took time off work when they were actually feeling sick then we'd cut down on a lot of illness in this country. Unfortunately not everyone can afford to take off work on their own or even quit over it if they feel it's that large an issue. I think a four day workweek and fully remote for those who don't need to be in the office would help a lot, but we'll never get that. The money machine must always churn as hard and as fast as possible.

I mean that's really just the tip of the exploitation iceberg. Pretty much any major "first world" nation has gotten that way on the backs of smaller nations. Also the amount of waste is insane. We have made in the USA products that are shipped across the ocean for packaging and then back again to be sold. Many people have good reasons to hate our government and our corporations. There are some very evil motherfuckers out there who deserve to be hung by a short rope. Still that's not a real good reason to hate all of the people here just for living here. I mean I get it, but it's not like we personally went down to mine that cobalt, harvest those bananas, extract that palm oil. Many here are even against those things as well.

They still need to actually convict him first, and even then there is a strong question of whether or not Biden would pardon him as a show of good faith. My friend Joe gave me a new memory foam mattress he didn't want and can't return. I am now fighting with the fitted sheets and the elastic straps that are supposed to keep them on the bed. I may need more straps or new sheets, or both.
