Here's the deal. People have been screaming about doing this for a while. I know some want to do this in outdoor, graveyard type settings or other "on-location" sorts of stuff. That won't happen this time. That'll have to wait until it's reasonably warm out. So.. what I want to do is have people to come over and shoot in my basement "studio". I plan to do some individual shots as well as some group shots. I also plan to invite a few people over earlier in the day to shoot privately. That way I can do those and then they can stay and hang out for the rest of the day/evening. I might do some shooting on Sunday after recovery from CityClub. For those that I ask to shoot with, if Saturday is not workable, this may be an option.

The first thing I need to say: This is my home. I keep it neat and clean. I expect everyone to be reasonably well behaved and respectful of my place and others. I'm not going to tolerate any rudeness, drama or disorderliness because of drinking or other problems. Save it for City Club later or somewhere else. Bringing drinks and snacks would be appreciated, especially if there's enough to share with others. I won't have much beyond my own needs and that of the people I invite over earlier.

The second important thing: Post in this thread if you want to show up. I will keep a running list of people coming. If you're not on the list, you're not getting in. This is for the safety and security of my gear and my place since I haven't met a number of people here yet. If you want to bring a friend that isn't on DGN, Send me their name via PM.

PM me for directions. Most likely I will send that info out to everyone a couple days beforehand.

Costumes, clothing and props: I don't have a lot so bring your own. Weapons, fetish gear, jewelry, small pieces of furniture, etc.. Anything cool that's transportable would be great. If you don't mind sharing and letting others use something particularly cool, that would be fantastic and well appreciated. For the group shoot we should discuss some broad theme so everyone looks good together. Because of space limitations, we may need to break everyone up into smaller groups. Decide beforehand who that might be, or discuss here. Time will be limited so I'd like to not be wasting too much time with decisions that can be made beforehand. Please be especially careful in the studio area of power cords, equipment and backdrops. Dirty feet/shoes will not be allowed in the house or studio.

If you can... Give me an idea of what you'll be wearing, if you want to do individual shots and who you would like to be shot with if we have to split up the group.

Plus I am broke as hell, and I don't have anything that looks remotely like something a goth would wear. I love the look, the clothes, ect. I just lost all my cool clothes when I moved to MI, cuz I came here with nothing... I DO have some really pretty material i could make into a dress.. we shall see.. now if I could get a pattern..

anyways, on topic: i could bring some big peices of material, for back drops and such. I have TONS of shiney black satin material. that is, if I can make it. perfect for draping around oneself, for tasteful nude shots. or laying on, whatever. and I have several yards of the stuff... But I will be taking it back home with me, since I sew with it. anyone's welcome to use it... as long as it doesn't get cut up/destroyed...

Hopefully some kind soul will be able to get those without transportation. Don't sweat what you wear. Do what you like and works for you. I didn't mean everyone had to be uniformly "goth" or whatever. The material will be much appreciated. Who's going to be nude in it anyways?

Final output.

My plan at the moment is something like this:

1. I will post an edited set of everything I shoot on Flickr. (Of the later individual and group stuff) These will be relatively small sized jpegs just so people get and idea of everything I took. Use these as your guide for requests.

2. A medium sized selection of the best stuff will be posted here. You will be free to use these on your own personal use or MySpace/Facebook profiles, etc. I would appreciate crediting these to me if posted outside of DGN. Say: "By Marc @ B2Photographique"

3. I will make full resolution copies of images for those willing to purchase/barter for them. I will also make medium sized ones like in #2 if you ask, if I don't post it with the first set. No charge.

It will take me time to do all the editing and with Christmas coming, it may take longer then usual. Be patient for me to post stuff.

I probably don't need to say this but nothing we shoot may be used in any commercial venture without notifying/negotiating with me first. That includes model portfolios. If you want a shot for that, it needs to have my logo on it.

I think that's it for being a mean,grumpy photographer.

I find every time meeting Marc is awkward. Maybe that's just because I'm intimidated by his baldness. "There can be only one!" *draws sword*

Speaking of swords ... More than likely I will have to work on this day but if I do I'll get out at 3:30 so I could make it out to your place by 4:30ish. I have two rapiers, two parrying daggers, and two broadswords that I could bring for props as well as a few fake knives and some prop pistols. Oh, and at least 7 bullwhips, two floggers, and two crops. So if anyone wants to do some weapon shots, it'll have to be later in the day.
