Crisis averted with Bluebelle. Relieved, on that end. Heartbroken to have seen a bulldog being brought in with heat stroke. I don't know if his owners were who brought him in, or if he was rescued by these people. Either way, my heart just sank. I guess I have to learn how not to be devastated by these sorts of things, when I start vet tech school...

Showering. But I'm worried about Bluebelle...

I'm thinking that my pretty pit bull, Bluebelle, isn't herself. She threw up a few hours ago, and her bowels are all liquid. Nothing has changed. Not her food, her routine...anything. And, I'm worried about that. She is the most beautiful pit that I've ever seen. She is my first. I love her so much...

We didn't win, but we did REALLY well! The venue had no AC, and I'm gross and sweaty. This dirty girl needs a shower...

Getting ready for a busy day of hair, followed by a sweaty night of roller derby. Having a mental conversation with the derby gods, letting them know that I'm thankful for not being broken and hoping that I stay that way.

Like I have a busy schedule of cuts & color at the salon. Like at approximately 4pm, I will have nervous poops. It's bout day, bitches. Bring me the Immodium!

All I did was keep 8 announcers on-task...THIS year.

Those kids worked HARD for this. For the last two years, since we invented this tournament, we've placed third. Never a more proud moment!

We don't celebrate it. I hate the commercialism, and I'm not religious (I don't fault those who are). We just sit around, eat awesome food that we cooked, crack open a fruity beer or two, and play Cards Against Humanity. I win every time.

I think that it's pathetic when a jr roller derby team takes dead last in a tournament in our region, then buys their way into another region to try again. My jrs took second, with two of my skaters being invited to play on the All-Star team in Dallas, this coming December. A very proud moment for our league <3

I'll be REALLY honest... Last year, after I came back, under this name, my "welcome" was very UNwelcoming. And I wasn't going to come back, after that. But, here I am. And I'm questioning it. I don't care if people don't remember me. It's not even a concern. But this was the place that made me want to move here. Me. NOT goth. Because I felt like I fit in, for once in my life. Let's hope that I won't feel any different, now that I'm here. I think that's a fair request.
