5 Ways to cure/prevent feeling rejected:

1.) Be excessively pretentious. Example of overly pretentious mantra: "I'm always way hotter/smarter/better than the next person."

2.) Get a kitten! Kittens are wonderful and make the world a better place. (So do puppies for you dog people.)

3.) Comfort food is amazing. (Just don't overindulge if you have a slower metabolism.)

4.) Be optimistic, because "This too shall pass." It always does.

5.) Trust your instincts. If you have a bad feeling, chances are your right.

nice list...I've only tried 3 of them myself. but I think I overdid it.

sadly no.....>.< I always pick the wrong options... thank goodness I steered clear of option 3 though XD

Yeah. Option 3 definitely only works if you have the metabolism of a humming bird like I do. One of my room mates has been on a mashed potato binge as of late. Could be the stress of a break up, could be that I make damn good mashed potatoes. I think its a good combination of both. Haha!

I got massively flaked on by all my friends tonight and i seriously feel like crap right now. I spent all day cleanig my apartment and bought snacks and drinks for them to come by tonight. I feel so rejected right now.... looks like i will be home alone tonight.

That happened to me so often when I had my own place. It sucks.

If you can make it out to CC tonight I'll buy you a drink.

it does suck....two of them didn't even bother to call or text me that weren't coming. I hate people that ignore text and only text or call when they feel its convenient for them.

Yeah I hate that too. You should hang out more at CC, lol.

I think I mentioned here that the same thing happened to me this summer. I HATE the feeling of rejection... and yeah, I'm a lot more sensitive to it then most people, so I feel it more often and more strongly. Still... it doesn't excuse people's inability to communicate and keep commitments.

Lol I agree to that, or they try to say that texting is so much more convenient than calling. But they are willing to call a complete stranger all the time? Oh well, that's their problem.

My latest pet peeve is when I send someone a PM, MySpace message, and/or e-mail and they never respond. Granted, I myself am guilty of procrastination or just being so busy I don't get back to a message right away, but I try to respond within three days or at least reply immediately stating that I'll get back to them later when I have more time. But to not respond at all? Especially when my message contains some timely information.

(btw - Tracey and Kim, this is not about you as you two are awesome and always get back to me eventually, and Mike, yes I will get that e-mail to you hopefully this week but failing that, the week after next.)
