SaGa
this is pretty much your ideal match, if said in a different light, dating requirements.. hmmm i have none. everyone is a individual. and shouldnt be pushed aside bye some imperfection to your world. flaws will outshadow anything if you stare directly at the flaw. and everyone has them, now if its a huge pet peeve well either thats something you should fix and find out why its a pet peeve or dont date it if it angers you for no reason

Msterbeau
and i'd like to correct mine, in case someone misconstrued my meaning... it was three years of drinking and depression before i got better, and after that was when i met gauge... Sounds like maybe some work needs to be done to be more "OK" with being without a partner? I know, I know.... easier said then done....
Msterbeau
I am reasonable, so therefore my dating requirements are as well Funniest thing I've read all day.
cptdeath
she should have transportation, a job or go to school. Must not be a fiend or addicted to some bizare drug or perscription she gets sick without. must not be looking to make financial gain off dating me. so that eliminates most all stereo types that alot of people fall under and these days it seems pretty unreasonable.. oh and i frown on dating girls who are allready in a relationship or activly persuing past relationships with so called previous partners while dating me. anything beyond that is something more to appreciate about someone. but even that leaves alot to be explored. oh and i don't like to be acused of things like lying, i take my integrity serious, of course people that go down that road allways have something bad to say behind someones back especially about the people close to them and that kinda turns me away from applying any trust in that direction. I like the family oriented types moms and dads sisters brothers the pet dog crazy uncles. big holidays, parties. but thats stuff further down the road, it's just part I enjoy. cptdeath
PHYSICAL: Height - 5'5" - 6'5" Weight/body type - Medium build - not a skeleton, not the Goodyear blimp. This is hard for me to say, since I've been attracted to women of all different shapes and sizes, but I think for a long-term or lifetime partner, I'd like something right in the middle. Curves are an absolute must, that's why I don't mind a little junk in the trunk. Eyes - Dark and glittering or pale and airy. Hair - I prefer long black or dark brown hair. I've just never been attracted to blondes. Skin - Black or pale white or any shade in between. I'm not picky about this. Character - I like a little exotica, but again, it's not a deciding factor. Clothing: Gothic, Steampunk, Punk, 40s-50s neoretro...really anything that takes a modicum of creativity. No preppies or squares, man! EMOTIONAL/PSYCHOLOGICAL: Sensitive and empathic. Strength of character and maturity are important; arrogance is a HUGE turn-off. Given my past relationship experience, I really don't want to have to deal with things like bipolar disorder. PERSONALITY: Playfulness is a must, as is the ability to be serious when the situation warrants it. Contemplative, but not oblivious. Must be able to strip away the society-imposed viewpoints and "accepted wisdom" and look at things with a relatively untainted perspective. Someone who recognizes the whisperings of intuition and acts accordingly. SPIRITUALITY: I'm not big on organized religion, but spirituality is a MUST. I prefer someone who has embarked on an ongoing spiritual journey, rather than someone who's settled on a particular set of beliefs that they perceive as ultimate truth. Ideally, someone who has studied and understands various aspects of what's commonly referred to as "the occult". SEXUALITY: Straight is fine, but if I'm going to be honest, bisexuality in a woman is more exciting. In a long-term relationship, boundaries must be set, of course... HOBBIES/INTERESTS: Voracious readers, science fiction/fantasy/horror fans, and gamers (NOT video games) are welcome to apply. She'd have to enjoy flexing her creative muscles on various projects, regardless of what those projects are, be it jewelry-making, photography, language construction, writing, drawing, whatever. JOB: Not important. Well, I'm not real interested in dating a drug dealer, but I have a big problem with the way our society defines who we are by what we do to earn money. FAMILY: Not terribly interested in dating someone with children, as I already have one of my own. BUT, who knows? If she's tight with her family, fine. If not, also fine. Fortunately, I have found my perfect woman, so I don't have to worry about this stuff any more. ahh dude what about an athletic blond with brown eyes, making a complexition like sun light everytime she smiles. pure and full of light, but when she's sad it's not selfish more the world is unfair and you must make it right to restore the sunshine to the world. with a hard working selfless personality but not to nieve. thats a dream girl and she's blond . you could'nt tell me you would'nt want to save her.????? Guest greyhalo
I've seriously tried to reply to this thread, but it's VERY difficult. I'm quite picky when it comes to dating, but I'm also very open about many things. I'm older and more reserved than many people on DGN. I'm a stickler about things like mannerisms, education, and sense of humor. But, things like clothing and body image don't matter to me as much. TygerLili
I realized another one of mine during a conversation this weekend. Must not have a job that requires him to travel often. A few days once a month or less I can deal with. Anything more than that and I have no interest in anything serious.

Head Wreck
Is it unreasonable to want to date someone who doesn't annoy you and whose head you don't want to smash against the wall after the first couple of hours? not unreasonable. but communication is a two way street. unless they trip my "blinkered" radar

Head Wreck
thats one i didnt think of. i'm afraid i tend to growl at people who are devoid of such things. even scared one chap in collage when i growled at him for elbows on the dinner table. i admit it was a perticularly feral growl myself
