Joe Darque
Hey everyone, It sounds like some really good feedback about the show. Not only from here but from many sources. I'm glad to see so many people are planning on attending this event. We, Darque Productions, are always looking to explore new options as far as venues are concerned and we believe that LUNA has the right atmosphere for certain events. Not to mention it keeps things close to Detroit, where we like it. Obviously, we will continue to use other venues in the future as we have done for so many years if the artists warrant it. Honesty, I don't think the 21+ thing will hurt the show even though I do wish that everyone who wanted to see this could attend. However, the venue has rules and we have to abide by them. However, everything is a learning experience and we will see at the show how it all works out. I only wish I could be there with everyone to enjoy that experience. Take care, ~J

disenchanted
The missus and I will definitely be there. Iris are also playing Convergence 14, so we thought we would check them out beforehand.
DJ Saint
some more info regarding the upcoming show... Seabound are being accompanied by live electronic drummer Daniel Wehmeier, whose performance "has brought our live shows to a new level". Iris will bring Stromkern mastermind Ned Kirby as guitar playing backup for this tour, and are also thrilled at the prospect of this double bill. Each band will also bring a little fan surprise for their audiences with them on tour. Iris will sell the first copies of their DVD/EP Double release "Hydra" (featuring two new tracks) with them, and Seabound will exclusively sell their forthcoming live album "Come Forward – Live in Berlin" on this tour. Both records will not be officially released before April. See you Wednesday!

odims_sphere
There was quite a good turn out, more than luna expected. Only two bartenders made for quite the wait to get a drink. DGN turn out was lite but a few showed up. Not a bad evening. Had a good time. Seemed aweful short though. There was quite a few songs I would have liked to hear but they did play all the songs you would have expected. Good time. I'd like to see them again, perhaps in a venue more suited to live music. Having no stage makes it very hard to see them unless you are right up on top of them.

Having no stage makes it very hard to see them unless you are right up on top of them. Glad you and others had a good time. Luna serves as a better venue than some places (ie: Lab) but yeah it's certainly not St. Andrews or Alvins. Somebody said to me last night "it's industrial dance so why not have them play at a Detroit-area club that has an industrial night?" Indeed quite an unexpected turnout. Pre-sales were VERY strong and we figured walk up buyers would be plentiful as well, but last nights large crowd was really nice. You never know from event to event, but good to see so many people out in support. Also having to work the merch table last night - Iris and Seabound sold a TON of swag, with Iris even selling out of their newest CD and the older "Wrath". Mankind is Obsolete - not so much my thing, but there were several people there who did seem to enjoy them. Iris seems to be moving away from the older familiar synth pop of "Annie..." days and into a more sophisticated and dynamic live entity. One of the few synth-pop bands I can still tolerate. I enjoyed there show. Second time seeing Seabound for me as I caught them on their first tour some years back in Cleveland. Much more material now than that past tour and with the addition of the live drummer there live set has become more focused. Much like from Ronan (VNV) and Tom Shear (a23), Frank has got to be one of the most passionately-engrossed-in-his-lyrics performers out there in the future-pop scene. Both Iris and Seabound really enjoyed playing Detroit and meeting many of you. Hopefully we'll see each band back for further performances soon. Thanks to all who attended. Darque Productions has some things upcoming we are working on. Stay tuned.
Msterbeau
The first two acts were blah to me... Seabound, on the other hand, was significantly better then expected. I'd only heard a little of their stuff previously and last night's performance was great.
perception7
Had a BLAST! Lotsa cool people & a great venue. Luna is not as large as alvins or st. andrews. But they have a much better location. Not to mention Sound & Lights. I was inches away from Frank Spinath. percy

CandyQuackenbush
It really was a great turn out. Must say, when you guys say that Noir has tickets, you should have them there. I went there on 3 seperate trips and they never had them. I was very disapointed at that. However that is the only negitive thing. I hope that Seabound can come again. They played a song that's very special to me. It instantly reminded me of good times.

I wonder if there was some confusion at Noir because I know for certain (as I was the one who dropped them off) that they had them when I made the post here stating that they were available there. No worries though, am glad you had a great time!
