I was impressed that Depp did all of his own singing. That's what got me, when I saw a show looking into the film a little. Thanks Gawd they didn't do and spoilers... lol

I know what you mean, but the Burton / Depp / Bonham-Carter trilogy is just MAGIC!! I'll watch the three tof them make movies together happily the rest of my life.

I finally went to see this over the weekend. I like much of Burton's work, but considering some of the work he's done (Sleepy Hollow, Corpse Bride), I usually let more devoted fans do the trailblazing, and come after, if I like what I hear. That said, I was rather skeptical to hear that Sweeney Todd was a musical (with one or two exceptions, I hate musicals). I was lured out, however, and I must say that I'm glad I was. Sweeney Todd gets addded to my list of exceptions for musicals.

Plus, while Johnny Depp too isn't perfect, there are few actors out there who can vamp as well as he can, and actually make it work in the context of the film. The scene where Carter is singing when they're on picnic is all I need reference.

There's Canton cinema and Emagine both on Ford off of 275. Emagine is waaaay closer to 275 though so I'm assuming thats the one y'all are talking about.
