just for the sake of argument (and because i really don't know), could someone please list for me the things a president can actually do *on his own*, without having to run it through other (branches?) of government? i ask, because i'm really tired of reading about how "obama's fucking things up", when, as far as i know, obama can't do much of anything independently. i'd like to have a list of the things he is *actually* wholly responsible for, (that he can do without the consent/approval of the rest of the govt.) so that when i see people bitch about the things "he's doing", i can show them the list and say, "sorry, you're wrong".

i might be up for it - sounds like fun! i used to be in a ski club, but haven't been on a slope in years. want to throw some pricing info up? (lift ticket, rental costs, etc.) a saturday would work best for me, if i can afford it after figuring in gas cost to get out there...

i'm a bit disappointed in my (lack of) socialization that night. i was feeling a bit out of place, as even though i know who most everyone is, i really ddon't know many of you enough to talk with. hope i didn't come across as too antisocial or anything. i really did have a good time. and spook, bean, that's why i was in the kitchen/basement most of the night, too.

feeling like i've been wanting to post in here about a few things for a while, but can't... i guess i feel like i need to self-censor... grr.

fine-tuning the lyrics/vocals, but it's fairly set. i'm still memorizing it, but should be able to record it soon, i hope. maybe i'll let people here it eventually. btw, it probably won't make sense to anyone unless they're a star trek fan, though!
