  1. "Detroit Gothic" is precisely what I searched for! XD lmao. I was trying to find out more about the Detroit scene because it was on the top five lists of gothic cities a few years back in Gothic Beauty magazine. And that's when I found the board! ^.^
  2. Not the best video, BUT this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ET5bDdvZMR8&feature=related
  3. Not entirely sure, yet. For haunted housing, I'll probably just dress in my street clothes (as opposed to last year when I dressed as a darker version of Red Hiding Hood, blood and all. People thought I worked at the haunted houses. XD ). For parties, I'm thinking either Amy Pond or Donna Noble if I can convince my boyfriend to dress as one of the Doctors. Heh. For CC, I'll probably just be a faery (I made my own wings a few years ago and still haven't worn them yet) or recycle my Red Hiding Hood costume. It was pretty fraking rad. As a kid, the only costumes I really remember was Jasmine (from Aladdin) when I was 8, Ginger Spice when I was 10, and an undead bride at 14. Meh. I couldn't really trick or treat when I was younger. My stepdad was thoroughly against it. >.<
  4. I looked through and saw that there wasn't a thread to discuss favourite artists and bands, so I started one! What bands or artists really get your blood pumping? Do you have any guilty pleasures? I don't really have an overall favourite, but my top ones are: Akira Yamaoka The Birthday Massacre Angelspit Nightwish Bitch Brigade Dir en grey L'Âme Immortelle Aural Vampire Nachtmahr Combichrist
  5. My boyfriend and I have the GoW3 360 pre-ordered. That system is bloody EPIC. Can't wait for the release!
  6. I'm thinking that I have no earthly idea if I work tomorrow or not. And that it is far too late to call to find out. BLOODY. HELL.
  7. Also, here is the newest companion on Doctor Who, Amelia Pond. Just because... HOLY. SHIT. And here are pictures of the actress, Karen Gillan.
  8. The Doctor... Mmmm... Yes. Specifically, his tenth and eleventh incarnations. Now Presenting: The Tenth Doctor Even sad Tenth Doctor is adorable. Makes me want to weep, but he is still JUST. SO. CUTE. Now Presenting: The Eleventh Doctor "I am definitely a mad man with a box."
  9. The last half of that movie, ESPECIALLY the ending, had me going "wtf... wtF?... WTF!" Hence, I love it. Heh. It was the first Japanese horror movie I ever saw, and it definitely wasn't the last. Here is a WTF moment from one of my favourite horror films of all time, "A Tale of Two Sisters." Up until this point, and even after it for a bit, this movie is a perfectly normal horror film. This scene is so incongruous and serves no purpose to the rest of the film. I think Ji Woon Kim was just trying to fuck with us... WARNING: Mild spoilers!! Scene begins at about 2:52. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RCPn_MYEvw
  10. I don't really like sleep. Well, I do. I just don't like sleeping often. Too many bad dreams/memories await me when I close my eyes. I just prefer to get as little sleep as I possibly can and still remain a functional human/non-zombie. For instance, I still haven't slept today. I might get a few hours once dawn comes, but I might just wait until later tonight. *shrugs* Just depends on whether or not I find anymore random bands to download and give a whirl.
  11. Scrounge up some change for cigarettes. Upon failure of that (which is nearly guaranteed), a hot bath shall follow and then Doctor Who. Might sleep at some point, too.
  12. I'm feeling like... I need a cigarette. Like, NAO. And that having no money to procure tobacco sucks the big one.
  13. Thanks! And it was different... I just can't remember what it was. XD I changed it a few months back. Heh.
  14. As some have mentioned above me, I don't really have a single favourite movie. I have favourite movies in various genres, subgenres, and (in the case of horror) sub-subgenres. But no definitve favourite. General Horror: Probably gonna have to go with "A Tale of Two Sisters" Asian Horror: Again, "A Tale of Two Sisters". (Seriously, WATCH THIS FILM) Also, "Chakushin Ari" and "Audition". Zombie: Hmm... Gonna go old school and say "Night of the Living Dead" and "Dawn of the Dead". ("Zombieland" a close runner-up) "Infected" Horror: "28 Days Later" Vampire: "The Hamiltons" and "Let the Right One In" Classic Horror: "Dracula" (Bela Lugosi was HAWT) and "The Wicker Man" (before Nicholas Cage completely destroyed it.) Monster: "The Host" and "Cloverfield" (Yeah, yeah... I loved "Cloverfield". Heh.) Pure Gore/Torture: "Gurotesuku" and "Guinea Pig: Flower of Flesh and Blood" (WARNING: Watch these at your own discretion. These are both banned in several countries and have actually been mistaken for real snuff films. They are, however, purely fictional.) As you can tell, I'm a bit of a horror nut... Heh. Comedy: "Fanboys" and "Clerks". Fantasy: "The Lord of the Rings" Sci-Fi: A bit of a toughy... I really love "Star Wars". And the new "Star Trek" was amazing. Sappy Romance: "Memoirs of a Geisha" and "Scott Pilgrim" (not really sappy, but it was definitely romantic. I want a guy to fight seven deadly exes for me.) Sorry for the long list. Its just so damned hard to narrow it down. Heh.
  15. Going just to see Angelspit. And then leaving before I.... *ahem*... hurt BotDF fans.
  16. I don't know if any of you remember me, but I joined up here a couple of months ago with all intents on sticking around. Welp, life said a big "Frak You" and I've been kind of internet sheltered for awhile. Mostly, I've been focusing on trying to find steady work and a place to live. Heh. Not a whole lot of fun. To make things easier, I'm just gonna CopyPasta my first intro post! Heh. (Laziness FTW!) Current location: Port Huron. Well, a very small town just west of Port Huron. (UPDATE: Soon to be actually Port Huron!) Where from: For all intents and purposes, Croswell. Redneck capitol of Michigan. Work: Nanny (UPDATE: Only three days a week now. Fail.) School: St. Clair Community College - Oakland University transfer program Kids: Not yet Married: Not yet... Single: Nope Hobbies: Writing, photography, gaming (especially Silent Hill and Mass Effect), listening to music, drawing, concerts How Did You Find DGN: Good ol' Google. Other Stuff: I'm fairly antisocial until you get to know me. I've been called socially awkward, but I suppose the best term for it would be "socially doesn't give a fuck". Not that I don't care, I just... don't... care. >.>; Seriously though, I'm a pretty shy person around people I don't really know. Which I suppose gives the impression that I don't care when I'm staring off into space trying to think of something massively cool to say that doesn't seem completely contrived. Anyways, I really hope that I'm able to stick around longer this time. Heh...
  17. A house or apartment to live. And the money to afford it. :/
  18. Mine came from a quote from the video game Silent Hill 3: "Remember me, and your true self as well. Also, that which you -must- become: The one who will lead us to Paradise with bloodstained hands." I just thought BloodStainedParadise sounded cooler than BloodStainedHands. Meh. I'm a geek.
  19. I know. Which is why I'm kinda concerned. I would prefer if they filmed it with the story and the fans in mind and not just focus on the money, but its Hollywood. Expecting them to make profit less important is like expecting to walk into Walmart and NOT see some creepy redneck. Just isn't going to happen.
  20. I'm just hoping that they keep Brad Pitt's appearances to a minimum (his character was just a narrator of sorts in the book) and that they decide to go with quality rather than profit, especially when it comes to the rating. Last rumour was that it will have a PG-13 theatre release with a possible R or not rated DVD release. I also hope that they focus more on the social and political issues presented in the book rather than straight-up action.
  21. The long anticipated movie adaptation of Max Brooks' World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War has finally been officially announced at the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con. Starring Brad Pitt as "The Interviewer", it is currently being filmed in Malta and will also be shooting in Scotland. Other locations TBA. The film is set to be released in the summer of 2012. For those of you who have not read the book, here is a short description: Seriously, people, if you haven't read it, I suggest doing so ASAP. It is absolutely brilliant.
