  1. You're gonna have too much fun! Don't go home at midnight tho. Do yourself a favor and check out some of the sick afterparties. I would also recomend getting a room downtown that way no one needs to drive home impaired. But if your a troopers some of the parties don't end till 12pm (some end at 7am and the next one starts as that one ends) when the fest opens. Some of the more hardcore fester just stay at the party then go straight to the fest and chill/nap on the lawn. Monday you'll see lotsa ppl napping. Just be safe! My 2nd one (I was 17) the chick that drove tried to enter an exit ramp. We saw headlights coming at us going onto the freeway. Then we got lost in the hood, one of those burned down neighborhoods on the side on the freeway. Then almost got mugged. Moral of the story and my advice to baby demfers is stay downtown if possible and don't drive if you don't have to. Detroit is confusing enough to navigate sober especially if your not experienced doing it (driving in Detroit, not driving drunk). Ps. They usually publish a list of after parties ahead of time so it's easier to plan out your weekend activities. Edit to add line up so far - http://www.paxahau.com/movement/
  2. It really is. I've met people from all over the world at DEMF. And people from all walks of like. All ages from babies to old ppl in wheel chairs. The people watching compares to nothing else in michigan. If you don't go to the fest it's at least worth it to chill on the riverwalk and enjoy that much for free. Or hit up one of the after parties to mingle with the tourists. It's not everyday Detroit has so many new ppl here to play with.
  3. I'm there every year. This will be my 7th DEMF. I'm already excited about it. Tix on sale now. $40 for a weekend pass till April 2nd. $65 at the door. I'll be getting mine this weekend. Usually get the VIP but too poor this year *tear*. But we'll make up for it in the after parties I guess. I'm the type of person who loves doing all kindsa diferent stuff to have fun. I like bumpin booties with the dark n scarys at city, jumpin in a pit at my local neighborhood punk bar, makin out with tranies at the gay clubs, any festival usually. It's more fun than staying stagnant. You'll have a blast girlie! The city is really a lot of fun that weekend - full of happy people.
  4. I thought it was fun. I like oontzes
  5. You Should Have a Mullet You're the type of person who should wear a mullet, and not in an ironic way. You are down home and even a little redneck. And you think mullets still look good! So whether you're a guy or a girl, let your short yet long hair flow with pride. You wear a mullet well, especially when the windows in your old pickup truck are rolled down. 7. I can tie a cherry stem in my mouth. My friends find it amusing.
  8. I live in the suburbs of Detroit on the north west side. Technically in the city limits.
  9. Running out the clock at work (is it 3 yet?)... doing my best to avoid actual work and at the same time try not to die of boredom. *falling asleep at desk*
  10. Thank you lovlies. I know what I'm getting my self into. We've stayed there for DEMF for the past 5 years. I've just never considered upgrading for space. We are there to party in the city and just need a place to leave our shit and crash when we need to. To be honest I'm more comfortable with the skank then I would be at any of the yuppy hotel on Jefferson.
  11. If we're talkin phobia, I'm scared of big fish and whales and deep sea creature. And I've never even been close to an ocean. Just a natural freak I guess.
  12. Does anybody know if the Leland has suites? If so, has anybody ever stay in one? Thanks for any help!!
  13. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwWqKJKTGK0 You probably guessed it.
  14. You May Be a Bit Antisocial... Antisocial? That may be a bit of an understatement. You think rules are meant to be broken - and with gusto! Having no fear, you don't even think about consequences. But people love you anyway... you've got a boatload of charm. What Personality Disorder Are You? Blogthings: Quizzes and Tests and Memes, Oh My! Yeah, thats about right.
  15. Me & my BF having drinks at some bar. It makes me lul evertime.

  17. Your Love is Purple When you love someone, their life becomes your life. And you want to help them be the best person possible. You are a natural visionary, and you tend to be the teacher in your romantic relationships. You have a lot of wisdom to impart. You are inspiring and powerful. Many people look up to you, and you often fall in love with those who admire you. It's hard for you to find someone who's your equal. And to be honest, you enjoy having a bit of a power imbalance in your relationships. What Color Is Your Love? Blogthings: Waste Time at Work!
