I expected a storyline. Even a flimsy one would suffice but it's like they went out of their way to make every scene meaningless. Everything is just a daydream inside of a daydream inside of a daydream. I guess I was hoping for something a little more "Kill Bill". Which easily could have happened if they didn't insist on all those messy sub plots and just made a fantasy movie about revenge. I'm just disappointed because I was pretty excited to see this movie and it had some real potential. I guess I should've read some reviews before going :/ Also I don't think you're Corvette analogy really applies here. I thought it was more like buying a product and opening up the packaging to discover more packaging and within that packaging,even more packaging and so on and so on.

Ah! I missed this too! I'm excited about the move. Ferndale will start their own pride day so don't cry for them. I think this is a huge step for the LGBT community. It will actually be a large festival at a major venue where more people can be exposed what's going on. There will be more room to move and dance and check everybody out. Ferndale was getting pretty crowded and claustrophobic in recent years. And it being two days is an awesome bonus, one day just isn't enough. I am going to be obnoxiously rainbow-y for the occasion.

I've been meaning to post in this thread about how much I don't enjoy children but I work at an elementary school lol and all I need is someone to look over my shoulder and read that I don't much care for the company of these lil angels. IDK kids creep me out and make me uneasy. And I am far too irresponsible to even consider having one of my own. I mostly just have no interest in them at all. I don't mind that other people have them but if I go somewhere on my free time and there is like a whole fucking hoard of children I will definitely leave that place. Who knows maybe I'll get old and my ovaries will skip a beat and I'll adopt. I can't say I won't but I don't think so.

Sucker Punch Sooooooooooooooooooooo bad. Not even like ironically so bad it's good. Just bad. It's like they just created a bunch of epic battles with hot chicks and other visually pleasing scenes and smashed them all together. No one even pretended to worry about the story or plot. People in the theater were openly sighing and I swear to god you could almost hear the collective eye rolling. And the worst part was the sound track; They covered a bunch of classic songs i.e. Pixies, Annie Lennox, Queen which ruined the songs and came off as super lazy. Proving they spent absolutely no time on slapping this pos together. I expected it to be lame but I figureed the BAness would redeem it. I was wrong. I'm pretty sure this movie is just the product of a groups of gamer's pot fueled circle jerk. If there were any good parts about the movie I'd say they were all visual. The costumes are hot. And some of the scenes individually, not as a part of a whole, could be entertaining and pretty epic. Also the steam powered Nazi zombies are admittedly pretty awesome. But thats about it. Sorry about the rant. I just want my monies back s'all. It was like $15 to see it in imax which was not worth it even if the movies was sweet (which it wasn't). At least not at amc anyway.

Well I bought my tix in January when they were only $40 for a weekend pass. Which is really not bad at all for a three day oontz festival in the heart of the city I am (for some reason) in love with. I just hope the weather is decent this year. Last year it stormed and on Monday they had to shut it down for some time. So we ended up spending a lot of time watching cable in our pajamas at the hotel- fucking weak. *Fun Fact* The Motor City Pride Fest has moved from a 1 day street fair in Ferndale to a full on 2 day festival at Hart Plaza the weekend after DEMF. Shits gonna be nuts and I'm super psyched.

I was drinking at a different bar and a bunch of us decided to pack into a minivan and take a field trip to city club. I danced like an escaped mental patient per usual, also got pretty smashed (fucking long islands!), talked anybody unfortunate enough to get sucked into my gravitational pull. It was good times. I don't know anybody from here so I didn't know what to look for :(
