You Think That Intelligence is Glamourous You find nothing more disappointing than a gorgeous person who is completely vapid. You can't respect anyone who doesn't exercise his or her mind. There's something incredibly appealing about someone who can speak intelligently about any subject at any length. You also appreciate people who are well mannered and well behaved. Politeness goes a long way for you. The most glamourous people you know totally have it together. Allure is never skin deep for you. The Glamour Test

Who Are You in Your Family?
taysteewonderbunny replied to punk_princess's topic in Quizzes And Polls
Per my real family: Per my DGN family: -
You Are Bright and Intuitive You can take in a lot of information at once. You're excellent at remembering details, and you are able to see how each piece of the puzzle fits together. Beyond understanding what's in front if you, you're also good at seeing what's missing. Your energy level is fairly high and consistent. You are good at being able to get yourself going. Your signature latte would be a skinny latte. Even if you aren't on a diet, you don't really like your food to weigh you down. The Latte Art Test

Storm Knight vs Gimp: Sushi night part 2

Well, a line that good bears repeating. I had such a good time. It was good seeing you and Gnarly Quinn there; next time we'll get to talk more, yes? -
Trixies coffee house is no more
taysteewonderbunny replied to prick's topic in Nightlife, Events & Concerts
I am interested. There are some items of mine there that I forgot to collect, like my chair and my Super Scrabble game. I wonder if people will let me have them without bidding on them. I wish, I wish, I wish, I wish I had the money to buy the cappuccino machine and grinder and accoutrements. I want to open a coffeehouse some day. And I want one of those type cappuccino makers, because most of them on the market today are crappy fully automated ones that make espresso with weak-ass crema and burn the espresso to boot. Maybe if I buy a MegaMillions ticket today......... -
Bug? A true bug? Wouldn't wanna be. But I hear that cicadas have a long and interesting adolescence. And they don't really fly much. Or I could just be an American cockroach, aka Palmetto bug. Those things are huge and practically impervious. One, in New Orleans, that I encountered survived drowning, fire, being smashed with a bottle, and being flung from great heights. Couldn't I just be a beetle? Or a nematode? What is rotting in your refrigerator right now?

It's not everything! For droves of doves, but it may also be applied to piles of pigeons, 'parliament' is an accepted group noun. Above, the term was only listed for rooks.

I am weather first, then fire.

I heard this on AM radio this morning. The whole thing is terrifyingly sickening. Yes, the boy may have done something wrong, but the details of those allegations have not been released, so it is impossible to judge the severity of his crime, if it did, in fact, take place. In any case, I can imagine the horror and wrath of any parent who discovers one of his children crossed the line in that way with another of one's children. Still, this case reinforces my belief that justice should be carried out impartially and sentences handed down from people who have enough distance from the affected to be able to decide the best course for all involved. I am not saying that the death penalty isn't warranted in some instances. Perhaps this was one, but the way in which it was effected, we shall never know. This was an act of vengeance, not justice, and certainly not one of self-defense. The murder charges against the father are justified.

Honestly, I've never cared that much about my denim. In fact, I was once gauche enough to have owned acid washed Palmettos. Yeah, yeah. Quit laughing. But if I did care that much, I would probably wear raw denim for a couple of months before washing in cold water and hanging to dry. But, because I am not that invested, either the pre-washed or the stone wash would suit me just fine, as long as it fits me right in the hips and seat and isn't too narrow in the ankle. I'm more worried about the fit than the fabric. What's hiding in your closet?

So, how is it?

Actually, if I were a regular employee, the union would have something to say about that. No, I'm just a temp in a part-time position and there are about 50 people who would be happy to take over my temp spot if I can't make it even just one day.

Hmm. My job is such that were I to call in sick, I might not have a job anymore.

Why, yes! Yes, I have. About five days a week, actually. Turns out that standing for six hours is the most exhausting work I've ever had. I liked waitressing better in that I never had the chance to stand still. Standing is more tiring than walking. And I just feel like a zombie at the end of the day. And my work is so frickin' repetitive that it drives me nuts. Change for a $20 for a sandwich and pop: $13.31. Change for a $20 for just a pop: $18.60. Change for a $20 for a sandwich and pop: $13.31. Change for a $20 for just a pop: $18.60.... Edit to add: I think I'm developing plantar fasciitis. My feet ache 24/7, my legs hurt, my back hurts. I want a desk job. NOW. Of all the work positions that actually exist and for which you are conceivably qualified, which do you most desire?

You Are Honest and Open You are a very honest person, yet you somehow avoid being brutally honest with people. You know that the truth often does hurt, so you try to cushion the blow as much as possible. And because of your approach, people do appreciate your honesty. You're the type of person who complements before you criticize. You try to put the truth in perspective and make it seem not so dire. And whenever you're stating your opinion, you make it clear that it's just that ... your point of view. You can only speak your own personal truth. How Do You Tell the Truth?

You Should Meditate Part of what's stressing you out right now is not having any control over what's happening to you. And while you can't control anything in your life, it may help you to learn how to stay tranquil. Meditation will help you learn how to let go, push through barriers, and live in the moment. It may be difficult at first, but if you stick with it, you'll find that meditation brings you some of the peace you're seeking. How Should You De-stress?

What Do People Love About You?
taysteewonderbunny replied to punk_princess's topic in Quizzes And Polls
People Love That You Are Open and Confident You're the type of person that's easy to get close to. You're very comfortable in your own skin. You have no problem showing people who you are, and you're genuinely interested in them in return. You are an accepting and involved friend. You are truly curious about what is going on in other people's lives. You may be the first in your group of friends to express concern when someone is having a hard time or making bad decisions. It's only because you care so much. What Do People Love About You?
