  1. Aw. There goes the source of my decent post count. Wait, I'm allowed to respond to twelve or fourteen quizzes at a time, so long as I'm not creating that many new topics in one day in this forum, right? (Please say yes, please say yes, please say yes.)
  2. Perhaps. Not incredibly likely though. Too bad I don't live farther away from the city, or else I would get up to see it.
  3. Wow. That is pretty bizarre. And, weirdly, that reminds me of an obscure, tasteless movie starring Tim Roth and Tupac Shakur: "Gridlock'd," from 1997, in which two junkies stab each other to try to get drugs from the ER. Most memorable bit of that film, besides Tim Roth's terrible American accent: all the buses emblazoned with DTA for 'Detroit Transit Authority.' Anyway, somebody give that man a Darwin Award already.
  4. Hello! Thanks again for the drinks on DGN Appreciation Night. It was nice to see you and Zaphier at the Witching Hour, also. Hope you stay with us and post often!

  5. Yes. I, too, noticed them gams. Still, they should have coughed up the dough for Spook's fight choreography. I had a good time and was thoroughly drenched. Overall, the pluses: the girls are pretty, the jokes are steady, you don't need to shower before the show. Minuses: fight choreography was slow and clumsy which I suppose is fitting for zombies but it still didn't pass, there's a much better way to make "blood" that won't permanently stain clothing and doesn't look like weak Kool-Aid, you pretty much have to be a fan of the series to get the jokes.
  6. I like the idea of having two nights about six months apart. Personally, I see these as prime opportunities to not only meet up with DGN members that can't too often make it to the club, but to raise funds for the board, and pique interest in the board amongst our largest target group: the other weirdos that frequent City Club. I think we should have award ceremonies on the Appreciation Night, fundraisers on both nights, promo packages on the ready for Street Team members, and new member incentives plus an available computer so we can have on-the-spot sign-ups. Maybe we can grow the events a little each time, adding things like door prizes, a second meeting area (besides the stage--someplace quieter and more conducive to conversation), a DGNer exclusive song request hour (at the beginning of the night, only DGNers' requested songs will be played), a drink special for confirmed wristbanded members only, catered hors d'ouvre table, or preceding dinner event (so those who can't or won't go to the club can still participate), etc. In any case, none but the most wasted and consequently oblivious should go home from City Club on those nights not knowing what DGN is and how to get here. Edit to add: Oh, yeah, and I volunteer to assist in the planning and production of these events until such time as I relocate out of state (possibly as long as two years from now, but hopefully only one year). I love a good party!
  7. You Put Yourself First By putting yourself first, you're actually not being selfish. You're just being realistic. You like to help others as much as the next person... maybe even more. But you know you need to be at the top of your game in order to really give back. You take good care of yourself, and you have learned the art of tactfully saying "no." It's all about balance. You try to stay away from people and activities that drain you. You prefer to save your energy for those who really matter to you. Do You Put Yourself First or Last?
  8. Yes. Will you see "The Witching Hour" (Leland) or attend the Sushi Night event (elsewhere) beforehand?
  9. You Would Be a Down to Earth Celebrity You aren't easily impressed or star struck, and if you were to become famous, it wouldn't change your own opinion about yourself. You'd still treat everyone as you always have, and more importantly, you wouldn't expect to be treated any differently. You'd be friendly to your fans and as accessible as possible. After all, they're the ones who make you famous. You'd be a celebrity in the mold of Kate Winslet, Renee Zellweger, John Mayer, and Ashton Kutcher. What Kind of Celebrity Would You Be?
  10. Yay! I'm a geek! Like I didn't know that BEFORE I took the test. Strange that it didn't mention that I'm also a dork and a bit of a nerd. Actually, I'm probably more nerd than geek, really, and more dork than either geek or nerd. Truly.
  11. You Are a Storybook Wedding Love makes you feel special and important. You want to be needed and adored by others, and you return those feelings with all your might. To be unloved would be a crushing blow for you. You would find it hard to love yourself if no one loved you. For you, romantic love is about finding someone as unique as you are... who thinks the world of you as well. When you find someone who sees things in you that no one else sees, then that's when you really know it's true love. The Wedding Cake Test
  12. You Are Pumpkin You are the classic fall favorite, but there's nothing ordinary about you. You are very culinarily adventurous. To cook with pumpkin requires being something of a mad scientist, at least if you're not going the whole canned route. You love a challenge in the kitchen, and you're always trying out a new flavor combination that may or may not work. While it's true that some of your best recipe ideas end up in the trash, just as many belong in a five star restaurant. What Fall Fruit or Vegetable Are You Most Like?
  13. You Are Considerate and Mature You approach the holidays with responsibility and cooperation. You'll do your part to make sure that everyone else has a happy holiday. You aren't particularly picky or high maintenance during the holidays. You're happy to be in the company of people you love, and you're willing to "go with the flow." Of all the types, you are the most likely to give someone exactly what they want. You're also the most likely to wrap all your presents well - to prevent peeking! The Wrapping Paper Test
  14. I don't want to go through all 100. I figure that will be pretty boring for you. My top three were Mary Wollenstonecraft at 100%, Benjamin Franklin at 97%, and Francis Bacon at 75%. I figure anyone that is 75% Bacon has good taste.
  15. Your Best Trait is Confidence You are the type of person who just goes for it. Whether you win or lose, you're always happiest when you at least tried. You are fearless when it comes to failure. You have learned that the key to life is just showing up, so you're always there bright and early. While you are always doing your best, you have had to let go of what others think of you. You define your own success. You may disappoint yourself or look stupid sometimes, but you always hold your head high. You know that tomorrow will give you another opportunity to try again. What's Your Best Trait?
  16. Your Fashion Style is Classic Some people may argue that those with a classic style like yours don't care about fashion, but that couldn't be further from the truth. The key to having a effective classic look is making sure all your classic items are well tailored and look modern. No one can rock a basic suit or white buttoned shirt with jeans like you can. You have the confidence it takes to avoid trends completely. And by sticking to what has or what will stand the test of time, you always can find something to wear. It's very rare that anything in your closet has fallen out of fashion. What's Your Fashion Style?
