CixWicked
I Change... Unsure of yourself You stand divided now Which road will led you there Last time you fell and you hit hard Your wounds have healed by now But you still see your scars yeah But it’s not the way it use to be right now You come so far to just let this go my friend Don't go out the The same way you did the last time You’ll break when you fall Don’t make the same mistakes you did all over You’ve got to believe in yourself this time Live on, live it up today This life’s your cup So drink it up I say, yeah Say it’s mine so give it all up to me now And walk that line, don’t let this go, don’t go out the Same way you did the last time Your break when you fall Don’t make the same mistakes you did all over You’ve got to believe in yourself this time Life’s your cup, life’s your cup Drink it up Life’s your cup, life’s your cup The same way you did the last time You’ll break when you fall Don’t make the same mistakes you did all over You got to believe in yourself this time [x2] Edited May 15, 2007 by CixWicked

Rayne
(Not literal ... just doing some research that involoves a past relationship and this is going through my head) I haven't had a good night's sleep In weeks now thanks to you The ghost of broken promises you made Haunts every room A hurtin' heart can't get no rest 'round here I lie awake and wonder how Your conscience could be clear How do you sleep at night Do you toss and turn till the morning light Does the darkness help When you lie down with the truth? How do you sleep at night? Are you all alone or do you hold someone tight Do you see me When you close your eyes? How do you sleep at night? Now your side of the bed's as cold As the lies that I believed I'm at the point when I can't even Trust you in my dreams Did the way you left me leave you feelin' proud? Or does the loneliness come callin' When the sun goes down? How do you sleep at night Do you toss and turn till the morning light Does the darkness help When you lie down with the truth How do you sleep at night Are you all alone or do you hold someone tight Do you see me When you close your eyes How do you sleep at night

phee
Trapped In The Drive-Thru by Al Yankovic Lyrics: Seven o'clock in the evenin', watching something stupid on TV I'm zoned out on the sofa when my wife comes in the room and sees me And she says, "Is this Behind The Music with Lynyrd Skynyrd?" And I say, "I don't know. Say, it's gettin' late, whatcha wanna do for dinner?" She says, "I kinda had a big lunch so I'm not super hungry." I said, "Well, you know, baby, I'm not starvin' either, but I could eat." She said, "So, what do you have in mind?" I said, "I don't know, what about you?" She says, "I don't care. If you're hungry, let's eat." I said, "That's what we're gonna do. But first you've gotta tell me what it is you're hungry for." And she says, "Lemme think. What's left in our refrigerator?" I said, "Well, there's tuna, I know." She said, "That went bad a week ago." I said, "Is the chili OK?" She said, "You finished that yesterday." I hopped up and said, "I don't know. Do you want to get something delivered?" She's like, "Why would I want to eat liver? I don't even like liver." I'm like, "No, I said delivered." She's like, "I heard you say liver." I'm like, "I should know what I said." She's like, "Whatever. I just don't want any liver." Well, I was gonna say something, but my cell phone started to ring Now, who could be callin' me? Well, I checked my caller I.D. It was just cousin Larry callin' for the third time today My wife said, "Let it go to voice mail." I said, "OK." "Where were we? Oh, dinner, right. So what do you wanna do?" She says, "Why don't you whip up something in the kitchen?" "Yeah," I said, "why don't you?" And then she says, "Baby, can't we just go out to dinner, please?" I says, "No." She says, "Yes." I says, "No." She says, "Yes." I says, "No." She says, "Yes. Oh, here's your keys." I step a little bit closer, say, "OK, where you wanna go?" She says, "How about 'The Ivy'?" I said, "Yeah, well, I don't know. I don't feel like gettin' all dressed up and eatin' expensive food." She says, "Olive Garden." I say, "Nah, I'm not in the mood. And Burrito King would make me gassy, there's no doubt." She says, "Just forget about it." I said, "No, I swear I'm gonna take you out." Then I get an idea I say, "I know what we'll do" She says, "What?" I say "Guess." She says, "WHAT?" I say, "We're going to the drive-thru." So we head out the front door Open the garage door Then I open the car doors And we get in those car doors Put my key in the ignition And then I turn it sideways And we fasten our seatbelts As we pull out the driveway Then we drive to the drive-thru (drive-thru) Heading off to the drive-thru (drive-thru) We're approaching the drive-thru (drive-thru) Getting close to the drive-thru (drive-thru) Almost there at the drive-thru (drive-thru) Now we're here at the drive-thru (drive-thru) Here in line at the drive-thru (drive-thru) Did I mention the drive-thru? (drive-thru) (drive-thru) (drive-thru) Well, here we are in the drive-thru line, me and her Cars in front of us, cars in back of us, all just waiting to order There's some idiot in a Volvo with his brights on behind me I lean out the window and scream, "Hey, whatcha tryin' to do, blind me?" My wife says, "Maybe we should park. We could just go eat inside." I said, "I'm wearin' bunny slippers so I ain't leavin' this ride." Now a woman, on a speaker box, is sayin', "Can I take your order please?" I said, "Yes, indeed you certainly can, we'd like two hamburgers with onions and cheese." Then my wife says, "Baby, hold on, I've changed my mind. I think I'm gonna have a chicken sandwhich instead this time." I said, "You always get a cheeseburger." She says, "That's not what I'm hungry for." I put me head in my hands and scream, "I don't know who you are any more!" The voice on the speaker says, "I don't have all day." I said, "Then take our order, and we'll be on our way. I wanna get a chicken sandwhich and I want a cheeseburger, too." She's like, "You want onions on that?" I'm like, "Yeah, I already said that I do. Plus we need curly fries, and don't you dare forget it. And two medium root beers - no, just one, we'll split it." Then I said, "I'm guessin' that you're probably not too bright. So read me back my order; let's make sure you got it right." She says, "One: you want a chicken sandwhich. Two: you want a cheeseburger. Three: curly fries and a large root beer." "Stop, don't go no further. I never ordered a large root beer. I said medium, not large." Then she says, "We're havin' a special; I supersized you at no charge." "Oh (oh)." And that's all I could say was, "Oh (oh)." And she says, "Now there's something else (else) that I really think you should know (know)." "You can have unlimited refills (refills) for just a quarter more (more)." I say, "Great, except we're in the drive-thru (drive-thru), so what would I want that for (for)?" Then she says, "Wait a minute. Your voice sounds so familiar. Hey, is this Paul?" And my wife is all like, "No, that ain't Paul. Now, tell me, who's this Paul?" She says, "He's just some guy who goes to school with me. I sat behind him last year and I copied off of him in Geometry." I said, "I know a guy named Paul, he used to be my plumber. He was prematurely bald and moved to Pittsburgh last summer. He also had bladder problems and a really bad infection on his toe." And she says, "Mister, please, you can stop right there. That's way more than I needed to know." And then we both were quiet And things got real intense And then she says, "Next window, please. That'll be five dollars and eighty two cents." So we inched ahead in line, movin' painfully slow I got a little bored, so I turned on the radio Click - turned it off because my wife was getting a headache So we both just sat there quietly for her sake Then I looked at her And she looked back at me And I said, "Umm, I think you have something in your teeth." She turned away from me and then turned back and said, "Did I get it?" I said, "Yeah. Well, I mean, most of it, but hey, you know, don't sweat it." Then she said, "How 'bout now?" I said, "Yeah almost. There's still a little bit there, but don't worry. It's probably just a piece of toast." Now we're at the pay window Or whatever you call it Put my hand in my pocket I can't believe there's no wallet (wallet) (wallet) (wallet) (wallet) And the lady at the window's like, "Well, well, well. That'll be five eighty two." I turn around to my wife and say, "How much have you got on you?" She just rolls her eyes and says, "I'll pay for this, I guess." So she reaches into her purse and busts out the American Express I hand it to the lady And she says, "Oh dear. It's gotta be cash only. We don't take credit cards here. I take back the card and say, "Gee, really? Well that sucks." And that's when I found out my wife was only carryin' three bucks I said, "I thought you were gonna hit the ATM today." She says, "I never got around to it. So, where's your wallet anyway?" And I said, "Never mind, just help me to find some change." Now the lady at the window's lookin' at me kinda strange And she says, "Mister, please, we gotta move this line alone." I said, "Now hold your stinkin' horses, lady. We won't be long." So I looked around inside the glove box And checked the mat beneath my feet I found a nickel in an ash tray And a couple pennies and a dime in the space between the seats Before long, I had a little pile of coins of every sort The lady counts it up and says, "You're still about a dollar short." And now my woman's got this weird look frozen on her face She screams, "You know I wasn't even really hungry in the first place!" And so I turned around To the cashier again I shrugged and said, "OK. Uhh, forget the chicken sandwhich then." So I pick up my change Pick up my receipt And I drive to the pick-up window Man, I just can't wait to eat And now we see this acne-ridden kid, about sixteen Wearin' a dorky name tag that says, "Hello, my name is Eugene" And he hands me a paper bag I look him in the eyes And I say to him, "Hey, Eugene, Could I get some ketchup for my fries?" Well, he looks at me And I look at him And he looks at me And I look at him And he looks at me And I look at him And he says, "I'm sorry. What did you want again?" I say, "Ketchup." And he says, "Oh yeah, that's right. I just spaced out there for a second. I'm really kinda burnt tonight." And then he hands me the ketchup And now we're finally drivin' away And the food is drivin' me mad With it's intoxicating bouquet I'm starvin' to death by the time we pull up at the traffic light I say, "Baby, give me that burger, I just gotta have a bite." So she reaches in the bag and pulls out the burger And she hands me the burger And I pick up the burger And then I unwrap the paper I bite into those buns And I just can't believe it They forgot the onions

Scales
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - The Dead Flag Blues The car's on fire and there's no driver at the wheel And the sewers are all muddied with a thousand lonely suicides And a dark wind blows The government is corrupt And we're on so many drugs With the radio on and the curtains drawn We're trapped in the belly of this horrible machine And the machine is bleeding to death The sun has fallen down And the billboards are all leering And the flags are all dead at the top of their poles It went like this The buildings tumbled in on themselves Mothers clutching babies picked through the rubble and pulled out their hair The skyline was beautiful on fire All twisted metal stretching upwards Everything washed in a thin orange haze I said, "Kiss me, you're beautiful.. These are truly the last days" You grabbed my hand and we fell into it Like a daydream or a fever We woke up one morning and fell a little further down For sure it's the valley of death I open up my wallet And it's full of blood Words can't describe how much I love this song, and this group. phee
I'm talking darkest night, A shoddy simulation of paradise, In leopard tights. I've this sinking fascination with the neon light, And inside, inside, it's war all the time With the budding blonde hookers and their decadent art; Desire's a violent jackhammer of the heart. When the world descends into a helter skelter, And the girls crawl in for shelter. Lilith/Eve, I'm looking for something. Come together over me. And I don't know what I want, A wife or a lover? I'm looking for something in between. I'm talking blood on grass, An overwrought suburbanite heart attack, And paint it all black. Because the end is accelerating back to the beginning, And everybody's falling in line. With the balding blind hustlers in their heroin hovels, Giving dollar sucks inside continentals. With the radio blaring out helter skelter, And the creatures crawl in for shelter. Lilith/Eve, I'm looking for something. Come together over me. And I don't know what I want, A wife or a lover? odims_sphere
A23 - Human There have been times throughout my life When I fell so far I thought I'd never stand again I watched my dreams depart These aberrations had their place In the grand design But it's unnatural to feel So bitter and resigned Forgive me my mistakes I'm only human I bleed just like you From time to time So why can't I convince you I'll be fine? Ignore the writing on the wall It just decorates A place that I have lived so long: Delusion's vast estates There's nothing sinister at all Gnawing at my soul But these confessions that I give Help me feel in control Forgive me my mistakes I'm only human I bleed just like you From time to time So why can't I convince you I'll be fine? No absolution comes for free And it never will And those among us without sin Are even rarer still If imperfection is the lens That you see me through Don't be surprised if someday soon That lens stares back at you Forgive me my mistakes I'm only human I bleed just like you From time to time So why can't I convince you I'll be fine? ManicQueen
6 AM, Christmas morning No shadows No reflections here Lie cheek to cheek in your cold embrace. It started so tragic as a slaughterhouse She pressed the knife against your heart And say that 'I love you' so much you must kill me now. I love you so much you must kill me now... If I was your vampire Slim as the moon Instead of killing time We'll have each other till the sun. If I was your vampire Death waits for no one. Put my hands across your face Because I think our time has come. Digging your smile apart with my spade tongue And the hole is where the heart is We built this tomb together I will fill it alone. Beyond the pale Everything's black no turning back If I was your vampire Slim as the moon Instead of killing time We'll have each other till the sun. If I was your vampire Death waits for no one. Put my hands across your face Because I think our time has come. Blood stained sheets in the shape of your heart This is where it starts This is where it will end Here comes the moon again. Six nineteen and I know I'm ready. Drive me off the mountain You'll Burn and I'll eat your ashes. Impossible we're seducing our corpse. If I was your vampire Slim as the moon Instead of killing time We'll have each other till the sun. If I was your vampire Death waits for no one. Put my hands across your face Because I think our time has come. This is where it starts This is where it will end Here comes the moon again. ManicQueen
Someday soon, I'm gonna pull myself together, Win or lose, I'm starting over again.. Start this day, Like any other day, Fold my hands, As I begin to pray, Sometimes we, Gotta throw the past aside, Come what may, I'm gonna open up my eyes, To all my broken feelings, Its the only road I've known, I just wanna say to you.. Maybe I wont feel the pain, When you leave me one day, Maybe it wont be too late, When you need me someday, Someone take me away from the one who betrays, Things wont ever be the same, I'm starting over.. In days gone by, I was hiding from myself, In all those lies, and the truth was hard to tell, But I will try, to turn my life around, I'll close my eyes so I can finally see.. The road to all my broken feelings, It's the only one I've known, I just wanna say to you.. Maybe I wont feel the pain, When you leave me one day, Maybe it wont be too late, When you need me someday, Someone take me away from the one who betrays, Things wont ever be the same.. You were my heart, You were my soul, You were my breath, Til I grow old, You were my blood, You were my bones, How could you ever leave me alone, Maybe I wont feel the pain, When you leave me one day, Maybe it wont be too late, When you need me someday, Someone take me away from the one who betrays, Things wont ever be the same.. I just wanna say to you.. Can someone tell me how this could happen I think that god only knows My heart used to be a sweet shop of love Now the sign on the door says 'Sorry we're closed' And I feel myself tell her, some old words, but I know they wont help And then I feel guilty Cause I've closed some sweet shops myself THey all talk about timeing, and lifestyles and such But to a heart that's been shattered, words don't mean much and all of our pining it just goes to show Don't you enter a shop with a sign on the door Saying 'sorry, we're closed' And she says Can someone tell me how this could happen I think that god only knows My heart used to be a sweet shop of love Now the sign on the door says 'Sorry we're closed' Now she's been through all the pain that one can endure And her new man thinks she loves him, but he can't be sure And his heart pines for Kelly, she says "That's how it goes" How was I supposed to know... he can't read The sign says 'Sorry, we're closed' Yep, that pretty much summs up my mood right about now. Sweet ain't it? CixWicked
saechalyn
This seems fitting Cruxshadows- Birthday Roll out of the bed Look in the mirror And wonder who you are Another year is come and gone Today is your birthday But it might be the last day of your life What will you do if tomorrow is all gone? You wont be young forever Its only a fraction to the sum You wont be young forever Nor will anyone So look at your life Who you want to be before you die? Look at your life What you want to do? Look at your life Who you want to be before you die? Look at your life You havent gone forever Then tell me what really matters Is it the money and the fame Or how many people might eventually know your name But maybe you touch one life And the world becomes a better place to be Maybe you give their dreams another day Another chance to be free You wont be young forever Its only a fraction to the sum You wont be young forever Nor will anyone So look at your life Who you want to be before you die? Look at your life What you want to do? Look at your life Who you want to be before you die? Look into life It all comes back to you
