DBK you did Not suck. You were great, especially for your first trip out. Takes balls to get up in front of any crowd and try to make them laugh, and you did that. Congrats, hope you keep doing it. All it takes is practice.

And thanks for the leg hump. My day is complete! :shock:

That tall old guy (my age heh) has been there obviously MANY times and he has the same prob. at first.

The heckler didn't help.

Once I was onstage singing.......and I forgot the words in the middle of the song.

I wrote it and have been singing it for 20 years lol

Just went blank dunno why.........pot maybe.......

I try to only go on stage sober if its a serious gig......I get PLASTERED at kareokee lol

You'll get better at ad libbing then you'll have material for those blank times, it takes practice.....now when I go blank I just scat sing or jam a lil till it picks up in me brain again. Its sorta the same thing.

I think my major problem was lack of confidence. I feel that I could've done SO much better...

Well, I'm talking to James about my next performance date. You guys will be the first to know about it! ;)

Practice until you're blue (ha) in the face. When you know the material inside and out, and have been able to perfect it, you'll be far less nervous. Practice in front of a mirror, in front of people, Cows, whatever. But practice makes perfect, is it cliche? Yep, is it still true? Yep.

Did you ask for leg humpings the first time around? That may have been the difference. Although I would have to agree that impromptu leg humpings are the best.

The heckler kept bitching through the entire show. I actually ended up telling him to "shut the fuck up" during my set. Fortunately everyone thought I was joking...but I WASN'T!! Hahaha!! He kept making me forget where I was...

Yeah, she asked for it. Had she not of, she would've had to wait until the 'second date' too! ;)
