This is by far the best way you can help DGN. </div>

Say to the potential new dgner: <font size="4"><b>"Hi" </b> (or other small talk) <b>" Are you on DGN? " </b>Regardless of the response, slap a <i>DGN Card </i>in their hand and ask them to check out the board. </font>

The DGN Street Team is only open to members that have at least 25 posts and live in Michigan. Fill out the form below to request DGN cards. It will be assumed that you are applying for the DGN street team.

Note: You will not become an official member of the street team until you recruit at least 1 person, they put your name down on the registration page, and post at least 25 posts. Your name & address will be kept private. </p>Again: You will not NOT BE an Official DGN Street Team member until you get at LEAST ONE new recruit. Being on the ST means something to us. Please let Troy or a moderator know via PM that you wish to actually join the Street Team. NOTE: The maximum rank will be changing from 5 to 10(!) soon. <br><br><br>

<b><font color="#00ff00">Street Team Rank 5 Comments:</font></b>This is the highest attainable Street Team rank. This person has shown a strong long term promotion work ethic to help DGN. These people are key assets to DGN and we are all in their debt. This hopefully this rank and beyond will be the goal of all ST members. Gaining this rank is FAR harder than 1 - 4 as this requires actual posters, that have posted over the course of a month or more. Rather than just the raw post count that is used to determine ranks 1-4. It requires a more detailed review of the posters activity than the other ranks.<br><br><br>

<font size="3"><b><font color="#ff0000">Rank Icons In General And Questions About YOUR rank icon:</font></b></font><br><br><br>

This takes a LOT of work to get new people on the board. We want to give recognition to them that actually take the time month in and month out to help! If you feel you should have an updated rank icon and do not, please let me or a Sr. Moderator know so we can review the accounts of the people you have recruited. Giving the names of the people is helpful if known. <b>How do we know it was YOU that referred them?</b><br><br><br>

Generally, the name they list (if any) when a new person registered for the board will be used to determine how they ended up on DGN. If they put "N/A" , then you PM a Sr. Mod saying that you sent them to DGN you'll generally be taken at your word. If they put a DIFFERENT DGNers name or put "Google" as their referral to DGN for instance, we'll have to go with what they put in their referral field at the time of registration as to what/who referred them to DGN.

I've been trying not to spend money i don't have , but having people willing to actually take the time and effort to promote the board (which is rare) and not having any cards to give them was just too much guilt on my conscience.

So I just robbed peter to pay paul and scrounged up some money to buy new DGN cards.

Who the hell needs to pay medical bills anyway? $100 one way or another isn't going to pay (or not pay) all my medical debts anyhow. :o

So i ordered 5000 cards, with priority shipping, which in printing-company terms means 7 days.

Anyone that singed up for the DGN Street Team but doesn't have a PM from me saying "they are in the mail!" will get their stuff as soon as i get these new cards.

Much appreciated. I don't want to discourage any type of promotion. Any promotion is worth its weight in gold.

But If i get an email or a IM message from some guy i know asking me to check out a site, i might do it, but i wont be all that serious about it. But if the same guy took the time to talk to me , in real life about a site, tell me how cool it is, and then give me a card about the site, that has a lot of weight to it. Once they do bite the bullet and sign up they are much more likely to be active and loyal.

But, the net is good for the masses of people we have no way to reach other than the net. Some folk you just cant reach "in real life" and net promotion is the next best option.

Also people that don't post anymore, do usually help. Many of the people that are active now, are like 9 people down the "promotion tree" from an earlier poster who told someone , who told somehow ... etc even though the original guy isnt around anymore.

I got mine yesterday morning ... and took full advantage of the goth girl at the hospital yesterday afternoon while my son was there and handed her one while talking to her. She's got some stress right now, her mom's in the hospital ... but we'll see if she joins up afterwards.

I added a custom field to the registration page that asks: "Who referred you to DGN? Just type "NA" if you don't know or found us via some other means." Its a required field upon registration.

I guess the DGN cards are on their way sooner than expected.
