Still single. And not particulary unhappy about it. There are benifits to being single, lots of them. I'd like to meet someone, but not due to some uber-desire to be "not single".

>tries not to get started on his "western culture, virtually from the day we are born, force feeds us the idea that we cant be happy and single at the same time..." speech. :doh

You always seem to have lots of women around you at CC...

It is nice to be independent, but I agree that it's nice to have someone to share things with as well. I've lived alone for years, and though I'm often comfortable, I do get lonely :tear .

i'm of the decided opinion that people suck, and i'd be better off living alone in the mountains somewhere, where with my lack of survival skills, i could slowly starve to death in peace...

(you know, it only takes one jackass to fuck up your whole day, doesn't it!?)

Unfortunately that's exactly what it is , they are just "around". Lots of acquaintances , a few that are, interested basically only in me for that "one thing" but couldn't care less about me from an actual serious relationship standpoint. Its amazing how much a blow to my self esteem "well ill screw around with ya but im not interested in a relationship with you" is. (not in those exact words but that's the gist of it in a few cases) Isn't that supposed to be what guys WANT? hah =( I have very few actual "real friends". Virtually non-existent are the single, "real friends" that im attracted to , and they are attracted to me as well. =(

I don't blame them. Being "disabled" as i am now , im not exactly much of a catch relationship wise. Cant go out more than a few times a week due to all the headaches and such getting out of control, don't have a good job anymore, had to declare bankruptcy, medical bills up the wazoo, not sure if im ever gonna get totally "heald up" or not... bleh, ok revealing way more than i should. >shuts up=)

Having the lonely feeling does suck.  Been hitting me a lot more in the last few years since the car accident.  Even more than the conversation or the sex, i miss the cuddling, god damnit.  I miss that a lot.

*Hugs* I so totally identify with that.

    • About to get this day started.  Yesterday, my vehicle was towed to our neighborhood service center and was started on.  I also took care of multiple appointments and errands.  Now I'm about to verify orders and then start on yardwork detailing.

    • I’m feeling the temptation to get dressed and go out to the store to get some dessert.  I’m also feeling restraint because I’m not going to do that, even though I physically feel the temptation.
    • I had two dreams last night. The first was about a man in a director-level importance coming and going from his office. He had trouble with his feet, and it was painful for him to walk. He wore large, warm boots similar to mukluks but comically large. He shuffled while wearing them. When it came time for an important meeting, he switched to a different, more normal boots and walked normally despite being in pain. Then he returned to the large boots. I was watching him from a mall bench outside his office the entire time. The second was about me and my coworker sitting in a room similar to a large, tiered lecture hall. Our boss would bring us comically tall stacks of paper and told us to sort it. The papers were large packets of information on various things, and most of it was basically meaningless. We pointed this out, and my boss shrugged and said "I know" and gave a sympathetic half-smile. There was no way to sort it in a way that mattered. Eating strong cheese before bed is a fun experience. I highly recommend experiencing cheese dreams at least once in your life.
    • It's Tuesday and I'm thinking it's time to get things done.  I just decided to start all over again from scratch. 1. Handle Truck Situation 2. Handle Appointment 3. Handle Yardwork 4. Prepare for Wednesday
