  1. I am thinking the winged (for lack of a better word) icon under my avater is interesting ...
  2. My car turned 100,000 miles yesterday. That makes me sad. My car is only 4 years old. According to a math geek friend, I average about 61 miles a day. That's sad because there are days where I don't go anywhere and I VERY rarely drive places I don't have to. HAPPY!!!! GM screwed up and didn't have my bolts ordered for Phee's engine. I went yesterday and was not happy. They overnighted them and they got here this morning!!!
  3. I am soooooo glad I handle stress as well as I do. *off to finish my long list of stuff for today, and watch my car turn 100,000 miles*
  4. I feel like I hope the bolts come in for Phee's engine on Monday, so I can get that put back together and he can have his car back. I feel like I hope I can get this stupid clip off my own car so I can get the headlight I blew yesterday replaced without it costing a million dollars. And I feel like my car turned 99,500 miles today ... It'll be 100,000 by next Friday ... and it is only FOUR years old!! I drive too much.
  5. I am, I am ... lol, consumed by taking classes this summer (first summer I have, I usually take the summers off), planning trips that need to be taken this summer, shuttling my daughter from Ann Arbor to Rochester Hills twice a weeks and sometimes even Port Huron, helping out my Dad with his medical junk after open heart surgery in April, and finishing up my first round of horrid infusions to treat my medical issues. I'm not going to clog up our bandwith with pictures of my daughter's team playing Cobo last weekend, but they can be found on my Facebook and the team Facebook (Darlings of Destruction). They were AWESOME!!
  6. Interesting ... You Scored as Apathy Your life is marked by quite a bit of apathy: You don’t seem to care much about the direction of your own life, much less society in general. I would find a quote or two to better describe the virtues and thoughts behind apathy, but ironically those who would espouse the concept of apathy are too apathetic to write about it. “Eh, who cares?” --Myself, just now... More info at Arocoun's Wikipedia User Page... Apathy 90% Justice (Fairness) 85% Utilitarianism 65% Hedonism 50% Existentialism 40% Kantianism 35% Strong Egoism 30% Nihilism 25% Divine Command 10%
  7. Annoyed tomorrow will be Thursday ... sooooo tired of IV's once a week. But excited as heck for my daughter's team playing at COBO this weekend!!!
  8. That would be Brenda and me. Brenda's OWN team will be playing halftime (The Darlings of Destruction Jr. Roller Derby team). Both her daughter (Gnarly Quinn) and my daughter (Volcanic Ash) will be playing!! I'll be reffing that night.
  9. Nervous. Stressed. Nervous some more. Not happy to be in Canton instead of Detroit ... And my arm burns ... Again. I seriously dislike these infusions ... And having to choose between your own health and family just sucks ... Sooooooo bad. And it's finals .... Yuck. But yay for understanding instructors.
  10. My infusions burn ... But I have wifi.
  11. More information on the Darlings of Destruction .... a HUGE article just came out today in the Oakland Press! http://www.theoaklandpress.com/articles/2011/04/04/news/local_news/doc4d9a610ea599c484170198.txt?viewmode=fullstory
  12. The sun is shining here ... but this is Michigan, it doesn't mean it is not snowing ....
  13. I am wondering if the infusions will interupt any upcoming derby bouts ....
  14. Soooooo happy to be off skates for a few days. I love it .... but sometimes you just need a break. And hella excited for my daughter's derby team, who made the front page of the sports section today!!
  15. I have the utmost respect for people who realize kids are not for them and decide to make that choice. As for me, I have kids, I love kids ... parenting isn't for everyone, but it is for me.
  16. Roller Derby ... Pain .... Sleep .... Roller Derby .... Pain .... Sleep .... Get crap done you couldn't because you were too busy with Roller Derby ...... Roller Derby .... Pain .... Sleep ... .... Next week, we add school back into the mix ...
  17. I am right there with you. I don't speak math. I passed with an "A" last semester with a full time math tutor. I haven't had one this semester, and it shows. 47% on my first exam is PATHETIC! Luckily, I can retake it.
  18. Skype is awesome because I have to write stuff down, and sometimes have to be shown the process ... usually it takes me awhile before someone can explain it to where I can understand it. I have severe issues with numbers ... I always have. Words, I'm good, numbers and I just don't get along. I have a learning disability too, that relates secifically to numbers, so that doesn't help. I need to renew my Learning Support Services contract for this semester ... I just haven't had the time and this instructor has been very understanding, so I don't really need it except for the extra tutoring. LoL, not that I have been on campus other than classes lately ....
  19. So sore. This training hurts, but it will be soooo worth it in the end. Not only because it's awesome, but it will keep me active and hopefully keep my medical issues in check and my muscles and bones from causing issues. Trying to keep up with classes and understand math ... Anyone good at math and have Skype? I am in constant need of help .... It's frustrating. Everyone told me I would start to understand, eventually. No luck. I see a lot of snow. Thankfully I did all my errands today and school is already called off until Thursday.
