  1. One of the things that drove me away was some of the elitist attitudes. Oh, and the trolls. And nothing was being done about it. I mean, how many "strikes" does one person get before you send the GTFO note? I'm an adult. I have an awesomely sick sense of humor. But at the end of the day, I'm an adult. I don't appreciate childish games at all.
  2. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm turned on.
  3. I was there, laughing directly at you. Your facial expressions were hilarious!!
  4. I love my career. I love my place of employment. I love making people feel as beautiful as they should feel, no matter what subculture they're a part of. I love doing hair <3
  5. GAWD, that felt good. Time for more coffee....
  6. Like Gnarly needs to wake up so that we can go to the gym...
  7. Where's the pic of the OTHER ones, Gimp? Muah-ha-haaaaa
  8. Here are the Saturday nights I CANNOT go: 4/21 4/28 5/5 5/19 6/23 7/21 8/4 We should do this! It was so much fun!!
  9. Steven just added: Amber got the total easter gift of talking to Kelly on the phone...I haz the jealousy but regardless, homegirl is talkin and rockin! I heard she's doing great in her physical therapy. just wanted to pass the good word forward....(purple power)
  10. KELLY UPDATE: Kelly is doing great at a rehab hospital and is talking and able to move I had a phone conversation with her on Easter and she is making fast progress and will be home soon and back to jam in the band soon down the road of rock!
  11. I moved from Baltimore, MD, 5 years ago. Baltimore does have its ruined parts. Shitty, unattractive hellholes. I spent the first 41 years of my life there. Detroit's ruins are by far way cooler. So much incredible, haunting beauty. My Husband just shot pics at the Packard Plant on Satuday (while I was working...grrrr!), and saw amazing things. I want to see these things, too. It's sad that Detroit (at last report) over 60% abandoned. Seeing pics of what Detroit once was is genuinely breathtaking. You can drive through a ghetto...a burned-out, lonely ghetto, yet still find beauty. I love this place. And I love it more than I could possibly have loved my hometown.
  12. I remember being here years ago, as Brenda Starrr, as a Sr Mod, as a frequent poster. I don't know why I came back, but I'm here. And having ony a few posts under this name, I think it's sad that this place has lost it's fire. DGN was the reason I came to visit Detroit. It's the reason that I met my Husband. It's the reason that I have some of the friends that I do. I can't be the only one who wants to light the fire...
  13. I think that we need another DGN night at Fuji. Heaven knows I have ZERO intent on going to City. Ever,
  14. No rush, FC. I haven't been aound in years. I'm sorry that things are rough for you, though. Jeff & I went through a lot as well.
  15. Sorry. It was early and I didn't bother to put on my glasses.
