If you could play any musical instrument and were blessed with the ability to read music, which instrument would it be? I signed up for guitar lessons as a teen but the instructor told me I had to cut off my long, beautiful nails so I quit. In those days drinking lots of milk used to keep my nails very beautiful and long. I also did HAVE to sign up to play an instrument in grade school, as we all did, so I chose the drums. I knew I could fake it and play them w/o being able to read the music. I did well enough and got A's so it looks like I had the teacher fooled. My instrument of choice for as long as I can remember (besides drums) has been the HARPSICHORD. I do love lots of classical and chamber music thus the fascination with the oh-so-beautiful harpsichord. I find a lot of ethnic/world beat music instruments are so beautiful also. India has a lot of pretty sounding instruments and Peru has a pretty flute. The LUTE also interests me. The didgeridoo is so beautiful also however I just found out that women are not allowed to play them. I've seen them for sale at various art and Renaissance festivals. I respect the Aborigines too much to disrespect their wishes thus would never try to play one if it is considered tabu.

I only went to one of these Renaissance festivals. maybe i took some photos of some of you----there were some cool looking people including one lady who had the Xena look. i don't have a car and am trapped in "wasteland" (westland). if anyone is going and lives near me i'd love to go (hint hint). i loved the pirate days since i've been into pirates big time since i was a child. do they still have no restrooms (only porta-toilets) and no washrooms? they really need to change that! i always wondered how the workers who prepared the food washed their hands.......all those huge turkey legs creeped me out (i did give up red meat 25 years ago but do still eat poultry but still a turkey leg creeps me out). however, the turkey legs are keeping up with traditional Medieval banquets.

Hallo Liebling, I am so excited to announce that i've recruited a friend from the Dusseldorf, Germany area to join us today. He is the DJ who has the on-air show i mentioned earlier. I'll go for a walk with you at 2-3am. we can look for bats. we are afterall in the same city. i go for a walk at this time all of the time to feed the stray cats. i choose this time since i say it's safer and void of the bad men in this area. at 3am they are drunk and passed out and won't be bothering me. i had about 12 buddies but in the past 6 years they all died (the nerve of them) or moved away. one escaped to sunny FL. another just took off to the LA area. lucky them! i did just talk to the one in LA. since he was the last close friend i had (and the one i went to concerts with) i do talk to him on the phone every day or two. he was nice to go see some concerts with me that were not his style since he's into Seduce (Detroit band) and L.A. Guns type of bands. i told him to look at your site even though he's not at all goth. he looked at it while on the phone with me and said "Emily i see one you'd like as a friend" and he said YOUR name. i just laughed.........and said "he's the site owner/moderator". too funny! and you expected me to say i was up watching star trek re-runs?

Funny!! methinks you've spent enough hours on this site for today. time to give the eyes a rest! i've got about 5000 rubber stamps in many different themes. i have a lot of bats/rats/cats, vampires, Asian, anthropomorphics, pirates, Halloween, aliens, ancient Egypt, Medieval galore, etc. i've made a lot of pins and earrings with them. if anyone on here is really into r.s. and ever wishes to drop by and look at them or wishes to swap rubber stamps i would be interested. there are no fans of this around me. i do not scrapbook. the scrappers took over the hobby of stamping but i have no interest in doing that. Troy, you went to sci fi cons? cool! are you into Japanimation? i've got some anime cels. one day they'll all be done with computers and not drawn by hand anymore. the rubber stamp shows used to be put on by a different lady, from CA, and not the one from OR. they used to have their shows at the Novi Expo Centre. but for a few years they've been having them at the Rock Financial Showplace.

Is anyone attending the Novi Rock Financial Showplace rubber stamp convention on Aug 6th? I've gone to about 9 of the shows and will be going. If anyone else is going, let me know and we can meet up at the show and talk about this site, music, or stamping. I've got about 5000 rubber stamps since I've been at this for decades and swapped a lot with other people via the mail and bought many grab bags. These come in handy to make jewelry, stationery, tattoos, and much more.

If you could choose your own eye colour what would it be? I've been attracted to the "reptile/reptilian eyes" for decades. I think it comes from owning 3 snakes in the past and about 20-25 eels. I just adore reptilian eyes! I also loved the original "V" TV series and some of them had reptile eyes. If I see a man or woman with reptile eyes I tell them how pretty they are and how I love snakes and people are always happy to get a compliment! So I think I'd like pale violet reptile eyes if I could choose.

Bunny, i'll let you keep guessing. i like to try to figure things out even if it takes me a while. someone just got it today. it's amazing how 9-10 out of 10 of this band's fans get it immediately. happy you took notice of it

now eating.....fruit leather. strawberry flavour. i already had a real mango earlier so no need to eat the mango fruit leather. it's one of my all-time favourite foods and i've been into them for 30 years.

thanks guys! i visited a goth forum on FB and looked quickly on the members list for anyone from Germany and found one quickly (i can pick them off like flies to......) so i befriended him and he's got a radio show. he's very nice and if you love to talk music he will talk to you for hours. he should be coming to OH to visit a friend so i told him to join this site. then when he comes to OH he wants to visit detroit so that way he will know a bit more about us and the city. i've been a huge fan of German music for decades now and he's introducing me to many new bands to love. yayyyy..... remember, sunday at noon our time.

i talked off the ears of poor Chuck and would not shut up. i think i mentioned a few more hobbies. hmmmm, i like animal rights, cat shows, concerts (when i was getting to them), and finding out about more bands from my beloved Deutschland. i like to feed the stray cats at midnight - 4am and watching the bats if they are out. i actually like snakes (had 3 in the past), bats (saved one from thugs who were going to murder it), rats (had many rodents but never a rattie), fish (have had over 3000-5000 of them since age 4), etc. i have about 5000 rubber stamps and use them when i have time. so, i have a lot of collections. i do like Japanime but w/o cable do not get to see it. i do have some anime cels. i used to love to go to Tigers games, thus am a fan of MLB. i am not a fan of facebook per se but do go there to talk to friends left behind or pen pals i met many times in the past (from Canada, IL, etc). i also enjoy hearing the German accent on skype since it's a language i've always adored and wanted to learn but never could master. good enough? it's a bit more info.......

CL is truly the land of the dead (heads). as i say...."there are no intelligent lifeforms here" but what other options did i have? in the 80's i had the pen pal thing and had all the many friends from OH, IL, Canada, etc. but nowadays the pen pals are all in FB or CL or just the WWW in general. i'm upset all my dark pics of me got eaten up by the computer. i really liked the one of me with the black hair and holding Tomodachi. she was a cute little kitten and i loved that pic, which is lost forever now. i wanted to use that one instead of the "snow white" one i did post........

i wanted to wait and see if anyone figured out my nick name. i used it for about 25 years as a pen name for pen palling. the fans usually pick up on it. it has to do with my favourite band and one of their song titles. i will leave it at that and see if anyone can guess which band or which song. most of their fans get it right away. i like to leave people guessing since i enjoy mind games as they strenghten our brains and make us wiser.
