  1. i like that wig. very cute indeed. i'd like pink, magenta, or violet tips.
  2. These are some of my favourite pieces of makeup. Let's see some of yours. Notice a lot of purples and pinks.
  3. hey Darklord, glad to see you are posting on here and thanks for offering to translate for us Ami's.
  4. OMG, i just LOVE the bat boots. so cool! after a lot of foot operations since birth i need a "deep toe box" and can't ever find wide boots for me. this site just may have some. shoebuy.com has some for me but i always wanted pretty, girly ones. i had some but they melted in my HOT closet...along with a fake leather jacket and some fake leather pants. grrrrrrr
  5. i agree with you Chernobyl. i was that way with upcoming baseball players. i used to get a minor league magazine via a subscription and i'd like certain players via reading about them. then once they hit the majors the kiddies would drool over tham and say "i love him" since he was attractive or CUTE as they'd say. but i liked him for his talent eons before he came up to the show. same with music. if we like it first then we see them and find out they are absolute drool factors it's okay. i've done the same much myself. drooling is good exercise....
  6. yes, i love all sorts of music. Christian music also. her voice is angellic. i'm not into rap, country, oldies (rock), bluegrass, etc. yesterday the video showed up using the same posting method. i do not have time to post it over and over. i don''t get it.. NOTHING works with AOL. it's a video by r Rebecca St James. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0v7fwF75Ow&feature=bf_prev&list=AVGxdCwVVULXetfWQRGZIkWNljHsVklOgU&index=23[/media]
  7. did you post the site on places in chicago, toledo, cleveland, etc? i used to have the friends from all over who came to town to see shows with me and if they know there is a site for detroiter's they may join. in my groups on FB they said since they won't be coming to detroit it's not worth it for them to join. i didn't look if DGN has a group on FB. do you? but that could mean a lot of spammers on FB.
  8. and this is an envelope going to Deutschland to one of our members here at DGN with a bumper sticker inside. i rarely used to send out plain envelopes to my pen pals or swappers. now you can see how one can put these rubber stamps to use. Darklord will hopefully take a photo of the DGN sticker on his car or truck and show it off here for all to see. how cool to have a bumper sticker flying about in NRW.
  9. i'm tied of doing this over and over. i'm just trying to show some of the things i got at the rubber stamp convention and keep losing my message and attempts to post pics. i did the gallery thing so i could load from there but this is not allowing me to borrow from gallery pics so i'm back to my old method of showing pics...
  10. i went to a lot of bother to use those caps, so it's good you noticed. this keyboard locks up and a 10 min messages takes me 30-60 mins to write with the typos and thus...phone calls are better. i hate to type. too many people want to chat and the magnitiude of on line buddies keeps me here far too long. there are many alternative fans into stamping and anime shows but they just won't look the part in public thus making it difficult for me to find them. some people have a gaydar (i think i do as gay men love me) and i have a germandar but my gothdar is not always spot-on
  11. Well, I did "pass them out" at the rubber stamp convention. I saw not a single goth in the entire place unless they were in stealth mode. However, all the cards I randomly placed on various tables wound up missing and I placed more as I left the building......I was proud to represent.....are you happy for some caps? grrrrrrr, more work for me.
  12. Hi everyone: Just a friendly reminder (until it sinks in and you get used to it being on) that a really great radio show will be on soon at noon today. It is on 24/7 but has a live DJ only at certain times. Our new member--who I got to join us--Darklord is the DJ from the Dusseldorf, Germany area. He plays lots of German content but also many other UK, European, and American bands. Please give him a listen and drop him a line and he will be happy to say hello to you on the air. Listen every sunday at 12:00 noon EST. He is on for 3 hours, I believe, then is followed by LadyHina who plays more industrial dance style. http://www.madhouse-radio.com/index.php?site=news
  13. WOW, I saw that show live! I was into alternative/new wave/punk/goth and watched that live. I really liked him back then. He has done some things I am not fond of, since. I think he's settled down recently. He is lucky to still be alive after his life choices. I have old pixies of him in my photo albums. I saw them in Milwaukee and Detroit in the mid 80's and in Chicago his wife brought their baby to a Jesus and Mary Chain concert I was at.
  14. i met many people years ago at concerts or baseball games who i kept in contact with for a while. so i guess they could have been called pen pals. i also have been cursed in that everyone eventually moves away and then becomes another "pen pal". but my first official pen pal came from a pen pal request sent to a tv show called "The Big Blue Marble" and she was from England. i requested one from Scotland but got one from England instead.
  15. Troy, i did do that with my photos i put in these forum questions. i am using them off of a disc. maybe that is why? i also used a link for a video or two. maybe it's an AOL thing, don't know. but i did use that "insert image url" button and apparently it did not work. i'll try it again next time. maybe it was having a bad day? i did move my mouse cursor over each of the little buttons to see what they were. i'll keep practicing i guess. on FB i've not had problems with my photos of jewelry, kitty, etc. but here i am having problems...
  16. and who do you envision singing this song? you know what? i was watching MTV believe it or not, when they had a special on Nashville. Jason and the Nashville scorchers were on and this new guy named Dwight Yoakham was on the show. i was hooked right away. i was not into country music but i did like Jason..... and Dwight's voice (nasally as it is) was just wonderful. i'm not into country per se. but i loved Garth before he hit it majorly big. his manager asked if i'd like to interview him (i used to write a few reviews or interviews for zines in the old days just for fun----mostly on industrial). then there was an Aussie named James Blundell. don't know if you like any of them. Garth impressed me one night when he had his dog with him (he had zero daughters at that time) and he was so sweet and with his plain jane wife. i gave him credit for marrying a plain woman (who he later left). James' wife was head injured in a fall from a horse. he stayed by her side. Dwight, well, love that nasally singing of his, and his music. as you know, he got his start in punk bars since the C &W ones didn't pay any attention to him. so....that's my extent of the country world. not much, bit some, eh? i have no idea who is who nowadays.
  17. dark Lord, how will you break the 12 year spell if you won't post a picture? maybe some lady on here (not me--not looking) will help you get over that dry spell :)

  18. oh my goodness, Troy! you could sell your life story to a country singer! i don't like or listen to country music (but, yes, I did like Dwight and Garth before they hit it big) but you would have a hit here! i love a certain song since it reminds me of my life story but yours is something else, also.
  19. it ended because he got himself into such debt over a 13+ year custody battle. as soon as his ex wife had the kid she was out-of-the-gate cheating. she was out of the house w/in 6 months of giving birth (he kicked her out). so she was vindictive and vowed to make his life misserable and break him financially and she did. otherwise i usually don't have much luck since i am too sweet, shy, and innocent. i am a really shy, nerdy goth but nonetheless i AM a goth! men don't stick around since they say "you're really really really nice" (and that means, "you're too innocent for me"). sigh.................
  20. thinking of the Jam's ALL MODS CON lp now......(for the new moderator). yes, you can tell what decade i grew up in!! have fun with the new title Siren. will you knight her, Troy? I knight thee Moderator of the House of Windsor.......
  21. what style of music have you always wished you could sing? what, if any, band would you like to be able to join in on as their lead singer? of course this means you would magically be given the talent to perform the lead singer duties. as far as i am concerned, i am not sure which band i would like to be able to trade places with and become the lead singer for a week. i do adore many bands but most have male lead singers. now the lead singer of within temptation has a beautiful voice. Ofra Haza and Kvitka Cisyk had angelic voices but they are now truly angels above....... i wanted to learn to sing opera as a 12-13 year old. thus, this is my answer. if i had the talent to sing any style of music possible i would love to be able to sing classical, operatic music. and that would mean being able to speak and sing Italian and German also
  22. honestly, i am very turned off by the use of what i term "southern-speak" where people, especially 20-something to 40-something year old men drop the "G's" from the ends of their words. i can't stand: ima (i'm) gonna or gunna (going to) ain't (that's the big one for me---i hear it and run away quickly) havin' (having) doin' (doing) goin' (going) fixin' (getting ready to go or do something) don't got none (grrrrrrr, didn't they attend school?) and basically any form of "Jethro Bodene" type of grammar. Lord KNOWS i am not perfect! but i do feel very "egemecated/edgemecated" when around those who specialize in southern-speak :fakenopic: sorry, two extra smileys got in there by mistake and i can't get them to leave........
