Just finished the latest Dresden Files book "Ghost Story" which I very much enjoyed. Now I'm reading a recent translation of War and Peace which includes all the followup stuff that was pretty much untranslated.

I was wondering if they'd convinced you to join up.

Got halfway through Crime and Punishment but it fell in some water and melted. I need to get a new copy.

Pushed and pulled cars around a parking lot, and swung a sledgehammer for GPP. Sleepy.

Rings and grip work today. Weighed in at 275lbs. Goes quicker with a workout buddy. 4 more weeks and back to weights.

Needle breakage within the last foot of sewing. Nooooooooo!

Rings = sore, judo = sore.

Nothing beats the taste of a PWO beverage well earned. The rings are great. The consensus was that I as a barbell kinda guy wouldn't be able to do a damn thing on the rings right away. Wrongo. It was hard work, but no where near impossible stuff.

Well, good luck. I hope it turns out to be spazzy noobish excitement rather than spazzy noobish "I know everything here let me show you what a badass I am.". It's usually the former, just be aware.

Got my new gymnastic rings today. I'm excited since I can't lift heavy for a while so it's static holds and ring dips for me! Oh, the noob spazz, I know it well. It's probably fine to quietly mention it to her, if only for the fact that she's not gaining much in the way of skill by making shit up during drills.

Judo for 5 hours, all groundwork, then carried in a washer dryer. It was a good day.

I just finished "The Sport Science of Elite Judo Athletes" not a page turner by any means, but informative.

Well, you summed that up far better than I was going to. "Doing it" is one of those things that looks so simple in retrospect, but when you're standing at the bottom of that metaphorical cliff face it seems insurmountable.

I just watched Jackie Chan's Operation Condor again. Just as funny as it was when I was ten, but oh man the dubbing is terrible.

Submission Wrestling and BJJ today. The guys commented that I look like I've lost weight, scale still says 290 though. *Shrug* Back to the weights and rings next week hopefully.
