This isn't surprising, I'd expect it to be girls more than guys. From a purely physical standpoint, statistically speaking, girls probably can't drink as much as guys without being sick (STATISTICALLY, before anyone jumps on me). But girls are about 900% more likely to get drinks bought for them than the other way around. Therefore it seems likely that girls will puke more than guys. I have fallen victim to this at City once (or was it twice?) myself...something I am not proud of. But never on the floor, at least.

Yeah I totally just had a chocolate shake from my diet plan (I'm on one actually ) and it was all good. Well, mostly. But I was rewarded this morning for being good by my scale which showed I'm down over 15 pounds! (Though I don't trust that scale, it gives me a different number every time, so it could be anywhere from 12 or so. Still, not bad.)

INDEED. I agree with just about all of this. But especially I have never been anywhere else where I was so accepted right from the beginning. For me it was June of last year, close to the same time. And ever since then, every time I walk in, I feel like I'm coming home. City Club is like a big goth-club-shaped hug. Even if an imperfect and sometimes messy one.

It's not a question of loyalty for me - the music at Necto is everything I don't like about the music at City. All hard techno beats with little melody, overplayed stuff, and the few times they do play older stuff, the DJs shout over it the whole time "KNOW YOUR ROOTS" and other bullshit like little monkeys. Shut up and let me enjoy the song, okay? XP I like the people at both places and Necto has its good points, but I go primarily for the music, and I don't like the music at Necto. Plus it feels like I'm one of the oldest people in there whenever I go, which I don't care for. And in general I don't care for A2 - too many drunken frat boys yelling rude comments. Okay, so maybe it is true that on TOP of all that, I do have more loyalty and love for City, but that doesn't stop the above from being true.

Help me! I want chocolate SO FREAKING BAD right now!!! (Thank god I don't have any in the house, but still!) I sliced half my finger off this evening chopping vegetables (I know, I know, you're doing it wrong, don't say it, I know), and I can't sleep because I keep seeing it happen when I close my eyes. I'm going to be a wreck at work tomorrow. So I'm up way later than I should be, already ate all my allowed food for the day, and all I can think about is how good chocolate would be right now. (Doesn't help that I'm already craving chocolate for...other reasons.) Goddammit this is the low point in my diet so far. It was SO HARD not to stop at BK on the way home from the ER, especially since I knew I had no proper food waiting for me since I can't really make anything in my present condition, and I was already 2-3 hours behind eating schedule because of the whole incident. I'm proud I resisted and am still on plan for today, but it's still so hard right now to not raid the shelves for SOMETHING, ANYTHING. Those pretzels Riku bought that are on my fridge. The popcorn I know is in the cabinet. Oh god.

Silliest request ever, but I kinda really wanna hear some crazy industrial version of Carol of the Bells at Christmas time. SURELY something like this MUST exist!! What? I don't even know what you are saying. I guess your main point is that City is dirty and they changed the decor, so now Necto is better? HMMM...City has its problems but Necto is FAR from a classy place. I'll take City any day, thank you. Implying Necto has more charm than City.....

I've dated a few guys who were older than me by a few years and a couple guys younger by a few months. I don't really mind a bit of an age difference above me, but for some reason never feel comfortable dating younger guys. I guess I like being the younger one. I'd rather date someone 5 years older than 5 months younger. Also, someone who has their act together and is a responsible adult is a big deal for me, and for whatever reason that seems to tend to happen later in our world, so that tends to put my interests on the older side as well. But about 10 years is my cut off. Any older and either they are in a different place in life than me, or they are too immature for their age which I can't respect (I know it's horribly judgmental of me, but nonetheless there it is). Also, through mid 30s you can still look like a young man, but I've never met a 40 year old who didn't show their age, so while I can respect them as a person and get along very well with them as a good friend, I don't find them physically attractive. At least that's been my experience so far!

The fact that a big monthly event that I was REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO that should have been held on 1/3 while I'm in Osaka was moved to 1/10, after I'll have come home, so I'll miss it. I am so pissed off - I was really really looking forward to that event and to seeing all my friends. FFFFFUUUUUUUUU D:D:D: :cry :cry :cry :cry :cry

hahaha I am! Well, not really, but...didn't you see just above? I'm totally raking in the dough here! ...Oooooor not. But I do make clothing as a side hobby/business. The last one there was a commission, and the other two are for sale. I have a website (linked in my signature). I enjoy making clothing, but my closet is filled to bursting, so I prefer to make it for other people. But I prefer doing it as a hobby and I think I'd be miserable doing it FT. Plus translating pays more.

Yes, I agree, for club wear cotton is definitely more appropriate! This was velveteen so the underskirt can be worn without the cage for an elegant classic look outside the club. I try to avoid velveteen at the club myself. How fun that you are actually interested! TBH most people in Detroit seem to run away when I say the price. ^^ Most of my customers tend to live elsewhere. But awesome! I could probably pull this off around Feb no problem! Probably $10 less for cotton so 130 for the set. Did you want the underskirt similar to what's shown here, with pin tucks at the bottom? Let me know if you have any other ideas or directions you'd like to go in, and we can talk about the details! :D

I use a Brother SE-350. It's not specially meant for thicker fabrics at all, I just try to be gentle with it. I have to really work to push it through sometimes, and I use a special leather needle. I hope I never break it!!!

The cage skirt? Depends on if you want the underskirt or not, and if you want it made of velveteen or not. This one as shown would be about $140. Making the underskirt out of cotton would bring the price down a little bit. I'm pretty full up with commissions at the moment though.

I wanted to go to this but I cannot, I have previously made plans with friends plus the Riku is closing that night...sadness. But I look forward to seeing all the Santas later that night at City!!!

It takes me a decent little while as well. It just takes practice though really. I've made lots of things like this by now so my technique is pretty much down, but it took a while. The only advice I have is make sure to run 2 basting lines rather than 1 (makes for a more even gather, and also saves your life if you accidentally snap a thread), and pin halves until you only have a couple cm between pins to ensure an even gather. Takes a hot minute but it's worth it.

I had a great time both nights this weekend. I was pleased with the music and got to dance a lot, and Saturday I had a great time talking to lots of friends. Friday had the best playlist I've heard in a while so I never left the floor, but Saturday was still more fun because of all the great people I got to see. <3<3 Both nights this weekend were great. I've lost about 10 lb in the last 2 and a half weeks. I was hoping for 20 in the first month so I'm probably a little behind that, but ..I'm still feeling okay with it. I don't notice any difference in appearance yet but it's only been 18 days. I'm trying to do "desk exercises" like stomach clenching (fake crunches) and leg lifts, but I haven't done any real exercise yet. I need to go to the gym...but I have so much I want to get done in the next couple weeks that I'm having a hard time figuring out how I'll have the time. I need to make at LEAST 3 skirts between now and Christmas and it's just not happening.
