Not so much today as yesterday, but yesterday and night before last and even some residual annoyance today can be mostly attributed to the Angry Video Game Nerd. ROT IN HELL GAMEY!!! Also I fear I am coming down with a cold.

I went and saw it on Sunday. It was okay. Not the scariest thing ever, but not bad. I started feeling sick midway through though - I think from the handheld camera screen so close. Next time I see something done in this style I've gotta sit nearer the back. That was ridiculous.

I think I saw you at the bar for a moment. I was pretty incognito myself, though not really...but not at all in anything like I usually wear so I definitely threw a few people off.

Crazy. Fucking CRAZY. Next year, I arrive EARLY and make sure I have a couple drinks before 12, because from 12-2 it's impossible to get to the bar!!! INSANITY! There were more people than New Year's, I swear...so crowded. I couldn't believe it. It was a good time, but...damn. I don't think I saw many people because it was so crowded, you really couldn't see anyone. Sorry I missed most everyone.

The Cyrus one is a bit too much, but the ones shown on the other page don't look that crazy to me. I'm NOT all about letting kids dress sexy - I find it disgusting. But these don't really seem sexy. I think people are just thinking too much about it, and that is the problem more than the clothes themselves! When I was little I wore a Flapper outfit with a shortish skirt and black eyeliner lines down the back of my legs to mimic the seams they had back then...and a wig and makeup... Thinking back, if an adult or teen wore that, it'd be sexy...but it never occurred to me that it was sexy back then when I was 8, and I don't think most people saw it that way. It was just me wearing 1920s fashion. I think people need to stop fixating their own insecurities on the children around them. There ARE some inappropriate things for kids these days...Halloween costumes, and even everyday wear. I just don't think the two outfits shown in the second link are in that category.

Mine and Riku's costumes are almost done. Mine is really almost done...just gotta sew on 4 buttons and paint the design on the front of the shirt. His is almost done but needs a little more work than mine...some detail work on the jacket, assembling most of the lower jacket. But I have tonight and tomorrow still. Oh, and I still have to go buy my wig!! D: But probably very few of you will recognize us anyway! XD

It looks like everyone's cool with Nov 14 at 7pm - any naysayers? I think that's enough time to eat and then chill before the club. If people think it needs to be earlier speak now or forever hold your unagi!

I've been wondering about Friday...you had mentioned before the zombie/pumpkin thing but I never saw any signs or advertising for it. Do you think anyone will bring a pumpkin? Is there enough notice? (Is there any advertising at ALL except in this one thread on DGN?)

Nononono while sushi eat-off is scary, it's just not really Halloween-themed! It will have to be planned at least a couple weeks in advance to enable those who sometimes work evenings to get the night off. Marc requested the 14/15 or 28/29... do these dates work for people? Which is better? The 28/29 is Thanksgiving weekend, remember...we may all be over-eating'd-out! Or does anyone have another suggestion?

If we do Friday or Saturday we need to meet by 7...I really really don't want to try City on a full stomach again...does this hurt anyone? Is it too early for people to make it?

Not even the non-raw fish varieties? That's a shame...his loss! They have several standard Chinese buffet options, though not the huge selection of many of them. They have pretty good crawfish in large quantities, and udon soup, tempura, crab legs, crab rice, lots of fresh fruit and desserts (yummyyummy ice cream), cocktail shrimp, about 4-5 varieties of fish (inc saba/mackeral and sanma and ...I think usually cod and catfish or something?). They are not heavy on the meats, but quite heavy on the seafood. They also offer things like fresh lobster, shabu shabu, etc etc, but those are additional cost (and can make it quite pricey). I usually just eat the sushi and then a bit of fruit and dessert, so I can't remember a lot, but Harold might be able to think of more? I personally would feel like I was overpaying a bit for just the non-sushi options, but Harold seems quite happy with their regular buffet offerings, so he might be able to describe them a little better. I don't avoid the other food because it's bad though - it's just that I love sushi and I go there for the sushi. Plate after plate of it! XDXDXD I'm sure we could avoid Sunday.

This will be epic. After this night, if they ever see us coming again, they will have to shut the curtains, lock the doors, close the windows!! We must aspire to inspire this kind of fear in their eyes. And I think we will be successful. A Sunday may be a good bet, as people tend to be free that day. Saturday would also work, but would have to be early enough in the evening to allow people to lighten up before City (god trust me, do NOT make the same mistake I did Saturday night, filling up on a lot of sushi and then immediately heading to City and putting on a corset...I was in so much pain all evening!!! D: DX). A weekday would also probably work for most provided people have enough time to request it off work if necessary (same goes for Sat or Sun). So...how to decide. That is the toughie. It sounds like no one has any blackout dates so far, is that correct? If there are any times when people can NOT make it, please make them known now or forever hold your piece (of maguro). On another note, to the challenger and reigning champion, are there any sushi you cannot eat? In the interests of fairness I think we ought to make sure all the sushi eaten inhaled is the same. Also, do we have any other brave souls who would like to throw their own hat into the trials? ^^

This sounds like fun. I presume the party will still be going after us non-orphans are well done with the family celebrationings? XD I'd love to stop by later in the evening. I will be a stuffed goose by that point but I'd be happy to bring something tasty or at the very least a couple bottles of wine to contribute to everyone else's overfilling of themselves.
