  5. I'm with Meg, when I HAD television, and watched the news, I watched the BBC or the CBC and listened to NPR till my FM radio went out on me. Now I just ponder the world in my head while I drive down the road.
  6. I feel like I need to kick myself in the arse, I conquered the non-exercising bug, and the unhealthy-eating bug, now I have to cure the employment bug.. I need to finish fixing my resume, and start looking for more work.. *sighs* I really hate looking for jobs. :( Luckily what I'm doing now is enough to support me for a while, provided it lasts.

  9. Come on guys, pipe down, it's just a thread about cyberlox. Nocker was just stating his opinion, which the original poster asked. Not everyone has to like everything, just because he doesn't like them doesn't mean you all have to take offense. I have made these and worn them on occasion. I haven't worn them in almost a year. I thought they were cute. I originally thought to make them because my boyfriend's daughter wanted to be a fairy for the Renaissance Festival, and the yarn ones for a little girl could get all yucky because little girls like to grub in dirt, and the kenekelon (Sp?) ones are too heavy for little heads to carry all day. I wanted her to be the belle of the festival (which it worked, be sure to see cyberlox sold as faery hair at the festival this year, I started a trend). I had to buy a certain minimum to get the ones I did, so I figured I'd make some for myself. They were shiny and tubular, and I had an equally shiny outfit to wear them with. I don't agree that they look dumb on heavier girls, usually the more hair you have the more your body is concealed, thus giving the illusion that you're thinner. Of course, that's also an opinion. Thanks guys for the compliment (pRick & Eternal) I appreciate it.
  10. I've completed my week 7 at the gym/walking every day, and keeping my foods under control. My total loss count for the seven weeks is 15lbs. w00h00!!!! I'm really trying to stay focused, but sometimes, it's very very hard! Thanks to hard workers like KatRN05, who keep me motivated to do what I know I should be doing.
  11. Moti Mahal is very good, I've been there a couple times already. The owner is very cool.
  12. OMG We're being invaded!!!!! *puts on foil hat, and scurries down to the basement with man powered flashlight* On a side note, WOW! That is so cool!
  13. Umm.. for some of us light-weights, one drink is all we need. As for my drinks, I only go to the holy trinity (that's Marvin, Bishop, and Anita) The new people are okay, but they (the Trinity) have been with me for YEARS.. (I will not comment how many those are, because I am getting up there in the age bracket).
  14. *HUGS* Wish there was something I could do to help. :(
  15. Like I'm just getting over my cold, and am getting sick again.. *sighs*
  16. What are you talking about?!?! That would be the best gym ever! Me, and a bunch of doods? Hell YEAH!!! I have like 80 year olds at my gym, try getting out of the locker room without being grossed out! I love old people and all, and I'm sure by the time I'm 80, I'll probably not care that I hang out in the locker room all naked talking to my other old wrinklie friends, but as I stand right now, I try to get in and out of that place as quickly as possible!!! As for the workout routine, I usually do walk/run intervals on the treadmill for 30-45 minutes. Then, two days a week, I pump iron on the machines. I figured it would help me tone up better, especially my arms. Some days, I go swimming, and other days, my friend is available for walking, and so he and I meet half way, and go for about a 4 mile walk.
  17. Week six is complete!!! I am building a new me.
  18. I want one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Clover is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE!!! But I will wait for my rizzard to die before I get another pet. That will be in another 24 years or so.. ehhe I LOVE my rizzard!!!!!
  19. I'm interested, I'll PM you for the address, and what to bring. Especially, since you're so close to me.
  20. I went for a very invigorating walk with a good friend this morning! It's always good to suffer with a friend, as opposed to suffering by oneself. Although, I have learned that I can suffer on my own, and it's okay. I have an mp3 player, which I really don't touch because I still haven't figured out how to take songs on and off it, but there's plenty of songs already on it, and I just nix the songs I don't want to listen to. I'm not really that picky (when it comes to exercise music). Anyway, keeping up the good work.
  21. o00o0o There's so many people on here getting healthy! I am so happy to say that I'm now on week five, and I'm STILL going to the gym nearly every day, and some days (now the weather is getting better) I will be adding in walking with a certain few friends on here that are also working hard at getting health. I've only lost 12 lbs in the past 5 weeks, but I'll take them. I've noticed a substantial difference in the toning of my abdomen. I was talking to someone the other day, perhaps maybe why I haven't lost more weight is because I'm gaining muscle. I was complaining to them that I would prefer to be gaining muscle when I'm ALREADY thin, but then again, the universe doesn't work in such ways, and I will take the toning. My clothes fit way better, and I'm certain that I'm healthier because of it. I still have a long journey to go, and I'm sure fraught with much temptation. Luckily I still have no couch to potato on...hehe
