hey i was gonna say that one....i worked there 10 years ago nad from what i here they have only gotten worse.

Another is singnature closing service they think you work 24 hrs a day and only pay you like you work 2 and then you play games getting your pay check cause the girl who does pay roll works at home and she is moving. Well you can only move so many freaking times........ :blink

SBC/Ameritech yeah they pay well and have decent benefits but htye keep taking those to lower and lower standards then they head hunt people who are "too sick" and fire them for stupid reasons.

Grady's Lounge they do not repsect or apperciate there employess, they play favorites, and yell at ay for stupid things while others who serve underage people and get caught by the police get to keep there job and dont ever get in trouble. THe owner is cheap sells raffle tickets to pay the $50 christmas bonus to each employee, has a christmas dinner for hte employees where the employees make all the food. ANd heaven forbid you give a customer a drink for helping wit things like cleaning up an over flowed toliet, takeing the over drunk Jerk out the door ohhhhh no it is my job to do all those things and i should give customers good service and clean up the poop in the bathroom. Heaven forbid she say thnk you for keeping the cops out of my bar.

For being overworked and underpaid, I'd say being an undergrad labrat--erm, I mean research assistant--since you often times have to work very hard, with unpredictable schedules, and often get no pay whatsoever. I don't know that I'd say it's something to avoid, however. More like a necessary evil to get the sort of career one wants. (And working that hard for no money will certainly show you whether or not it's something you want to do! :grin )
