How Are You Feeling? (cont'd)

I'm sad. I keep singing  sometimes rhymes or whatever ramblings randomly pop up too because it keeps me distracted but I have to face..

the

reality, it's slow.

it creeps not in waves but in drops, like a tear, like the rain,

in gusts,  in and out, like the wind, heavy hitting blowing dust in my eye, cannot cry

it just goes deeper so I remind myself of a time I felt alive, and yet again it never ends it's still the same old line, all I do is whine, perhaps If I change my mind...and blah blah blah I'll just stop there.

Still recovering from a migraine from yesterday. Not drinking pop on lawn mowing days again; pretty sure that (the leftover pizza is 50/50) caused it.

1. Not my usual migraine (pain on left side, and right hand numbness. It flipped sides on me)

2. Couldn't hold down water and decided on to go into the ER due to that.

3. Had an IV and they pushed meds in through that.

I was actually hoping for an update.  Did they keep you for observation?  Where are you now?  How are up feeling?

They let me go after the IV was done. I've been home since discharge; and I've been doing small stuff around the house since I think I'm still feeling the post migraine stuff (minor headache) and minor pre-migraine symptoms (minor hand/arm numbness and as I type this tongue). But nothing for me to (hopefully) worry about. I got my store brand otc migraine pills (prefer Excedrin, but store brand is what I could get).

I'm glad you are at home, but something doesn't seem right.  I'm just really concerned because it seems as though they should have done something more...like an MRI or Cat Scan.

The intake nurse wasn't really wanting me to come in because they had Covid cases. My headache coulda just been the whole combination of 1. the caffeine from the pepsi 2. whatever my body goes through while mowing the lawn 3. the cheese from the pizza. And it's just taking a few days for the entire migraine process to happen.

I'm concerned about the symptoms in conjunction to the numbness.

I understand that hospitals are handling COVID-19 cases, but it shouldn't mean that the non-infected should be overlooked because they don't appear to be on death's door.  That thinking negates the Hippocratic Oath.

I've had the numbness for as long as I remember having migraines; auras, double vision, numbness (usually the right hand/arm, sometimes tongue). Only thing I could think that might affect my migraines (other than maybe a genetic one) would be a concussion years ago when I was ... 7/8? Second grade. Can't remember if any tests were done, or what came of those.

That's really weird because a few people including me have been having severe migraines lately to the point of near vomiting and passing out.  It was me yesterday. I almost felt like I was going to need to go to the ER myself.  Another thing was did they happen to test you for covid at all?

Nope, never tested for it. And yeah, that's another symptom; vomiting to the point of not keeping water down. That's why I finally went in.

They moved you through too fast because they were not concerned with you being there for a Migraine.  If you had gone to the ER complaining of possibly having COVID-19, it would have been a different story.

Yea, that's why I'm worried. I also have migraines and am on a daily medication,  topamax for it but this migraine was different..I almost passed out at the sink at one point.  I am glad you are ok though.

To be honest,  this shit is off...I think China or something unleashed something purposely.  This is biological fucking warfare and retaliation. I'm not buying the bullshit.  It doesn't feel right..something isn't right.

Maybe it was like a system wide thing that went out to us migraine sufferers. lol Not something to joke about, yeah. I'm doing better than I was Saturday, even though I got a minor headache (sleep with a heading pad on the head) and I think my body's still processing out whatever was in the IV saline bag.

Now that's gonna make me feel better. /not.

I mean the hospital would have seen signs..sorry I don't want you to worry.  Besides,  you got better not worse,  right? Also,  I don't have covid and still had a nasty migraine.  I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say it like that.

At this point, you two will have to keep us posted on symptoms and wellness progress since the medical field dropped the ball.

And yes, kat, stoke was my main concern, but I really didn't want to stress anyone out with that because we went through that here a few years back with TIA .  Unfortunately, symptoms are sharing too many  parallels.

I'm not laying down trying to sleep it off while the pain's preventing sleep. Like I said, minor headache I can deal with when I finally go to bed with a heading pad.

    • Been on auto insurance quotes for the past 7 hours trying to  assist my niece in finding affordable coverage.  This sucks for young people in Michigan.  Then it's compounded by living in the city of Detroit.
    • Is this @cthulhu63's doing? I remember the FB post gauging interest but I didn't realize it was big enough for Mlive to catch it.
    • ~~~~~ What angers me the most about the entire incident is that it shouldn't have even been a thing.  I take my vehicle in for service every year and they are supposed to do specific point inspections for each maintenance check.  My brake line was completely rusted through and finally gave up the goat.  When I mentioned that at the service center and also how they said I was supposed to have an undercarriage zinc wash, the first thing the rep said was, "Well, you know how the weather is here and how the rain water and salt can corrode the underside of vehicles."    Yeah, I almost lost it.  That was the reason for me having the anti-corrosion wash done!  Literally, all 3 brake lines were 100% corroded on the external with the one eaten completely through.   I told them that thanks to this, when I get my vehicle back, I'm going to be under there with my inspection mirror because now I don't trust anything.  She then goes on to tell me that I hadn't been there since September of 2022.  But a service should last longer than one month and my vehicle started slowly losing break fluid less than 6 months later with being driven half the usual time and distance due to a change in Trene's doctors being closer to the Detroit city limit.   I have always worked on my vehicles myself.  Growing up, my father was an off and on mechanic and my brother was a military mechanic, so working on vehicles is practically in my blood.  The only thing I don't do is undercarriage stuff because I do not have the equipment for it, but I have a shade-tree mechanic neighbor who is willing to help me out with that.  My dealership warranty was up in 2019, so I have no issues with handling things myself going forward.   ~~~~~ My sister's situation was caused by an accident and the last thing I need is for her to lose faith in my abilities due to someone else's inability to properly do their job because auto places generally have an unspoken rule that they can get more work and money of off female drivers because we don't understand our vehicles and need their assistance.
