Photoset: Detroit In Ruins

:swoon

I haven't seen any of these photos in awhile! The photo of the inside of the Lee Plaza particularly brought me back a few years to when I was still living at home because Boshy and I used to joke about looting that piano out of it.

Urban exploration is in my top list of interests, I also fully study the buildings in Detroit, and these photos do justice. Found another site that I had never heard of last night with quite a few Detroit buildings I didn't fully know about and haven't seen the inside of, many have been fairly recently abandoned.

Constantin is a pretty good sport because when I found this page last night I put him through two hours of clicking photos of decaying buildings and commenting on any history behind them. Also found out through this site that there's no longer just one urban prairie, but three.

It's eerie to see abandoned libraries in Detroit with all the books on the shelves. Ironic, really, because you figure whoever is going in to loot scrap and valuables would have probably went farther initially if he/she would have taken the books instead .

It just saddens me that they just left all those books instead of sending them to other libraries or selling them in a giant book sale. To just leave them there to rot is horrible.

    • Pretty awesome. Shift at work was boring as fuck, but I got into some entertaining shenanigans with a Twitter friend to kill the time. She found me a few days ago and started DMing. She also has an onlyfans... Which is only relevant because we have teamed up to pour gasoline into the dumpster fire that is the conservative Jesus circles. She takes the high road, and I took the low road, and boy are people subscribing to her because of it. But yeah, I was going wild on Twitter all day today. Also met one of the guys high up at work who is impressed with what I do. (I literally just sit there and tell people fuck off all day at this job) NOT a hard gig by any stretch of the imagination. But people don't seem to be able to handle it. Whatever. It's 8 hours to look up stocks, fuck around on the internet, or both. My followers are slowly increasing as well. Can't wait to see what shit shows I can clash with tomorrow.
    • I'm thinking I should really have hit the hay a few hours ago, but there is so much going on later today that my brain just can not rest.  But I also don't want to show up to all of today's appointments punchy as dirt.
    • Parked out front the hotel melted to the drivers seat in this big black ass '19 Silverado, windows down, broadcasting far too much of the bass out them subwoofers for what late of an hour in the night that it is atm. Bad Brad Bossman brought his harley with the ape hangers on it out on the road to work. I end up with the work truck whenever he out ridin' the motorcycle once in a while. I abuse his stereo speakers like they was some dirty f'çk'ⁿ wh0res. Pound the hell outta em b!t‽hə$ all night long lol
    • Hell down in my hills we got whole car dealerships that specialize in catering to the huge jacked up truck and tuned turbo diesel market. Our old work truck when i worked here for Bad Brad Mu'f@ckin' McMorrow 2 years ago was from one of um. Thing had 6.6  turbocharged diesel v8 and 5 stages on the programmer, №5 added an extra 200 hp to it. Jacked up so high you had to jump down out the cab too lol.
    • ~~~~~ Yeah, I've been there quite often myself.
