Last October we did the first PROGRESSION night which was met with success.

It helped a ton of new music make it to the playlist (ie: Lyronian, Phaser Kontrol, Dust is Noise, and De_Tot_Cor were introduced and continue to make playlist).

People have been inquiring when we were going to do another. So....

For one night Saturday, April 10, City Club DJ’s Void 6 and Saint present PROGRESSION – a night devoted to; exposing new music, previewing tracks that may very well be filling the dance floor quickly and playing current up-and-coming bands that will be the new lifeblood of the scene.

Not to worry, we realize a night of entirely all new material just wouldn’t work, so we’re ALSO going to dig through our collections of music and play the lesser known tracks from some of your favorite artists. You’ve no doubt heard "Destillat" by Das Ich, but are you familiar with the rest of their catalog? Everyone knows Wumpscut's “Wreathe of Barbs”… the mans new material "Siamese" is a nice return to his past style - angsty! What about earlier Combichrist tracks like “Blut Royalle” and “God Bless” or some of the underplayed Project Pitchfork tracks? Get the picture?

So think of some material and bands that get overlooked, request it and we’ll try to play it. The focus will be on new however.

Excellent I have this Saturday off. We did our new music on Monday night. Glad it's turning into a full week of new shit at the clubs. Monday's set list will be up tomorrow. It was miserable out today and I didn't feel like going to the club to grab me cd cases which has the set list in it.

Interface - Bodyflow did good

Eisenfunk pong has done well for weeks now Curious what version your going to play or how other tracks go over. Mind in Box - 8 Bit is full of win since you brought up 8 bit

X Marks the Pedwalk I really dig. 17 did OK early in the nights but Runaway got a better response this week

System Syn - Here's To You. I've used 3 diff versions over the last 3 weeks I fucking love it and will find the version the works best for me it needs to be a hit. Losing my religion is fun as well

Mesh has been doing well

Kriminal Minds,De/Vision,Edge Of Dawn did ok - meh (needs more time)

In Strict Confidence, Vomito Negro were failboats (don't say I didn't warn ya)

I am hoping some of the new music has a melody with the rhythm. I do like melodic/lyrical music, but that is most likely due to my musical background, distant as it is.

I am hoping for edutainment myself. :)

I just want to hear the cowbell...!

Still waiting on that fake set list you mentioned... I have a feeling several of those songs were not played as 1 or 2 have not been released, only special promos. But if it makes you feel better trying to one up marc's Progression post to hype necto, more power to ya :) (sarcasm). BTW are you still playing that terrible "17" song off the repo soundtrack?

Really? They play 17? Not the best track....they should play Night Surgeon if they're gonna get crazy like that :evil:

Actually, it will be my sister's first trip up to City in YEARS, so I hope there's some stuff played she likes! (Hell, I don't even know what that would BE anymore...heheh) Anyway, I'm looking forward to this - just hope there's something mixed in with all the oontz! XD

There'll be a good variety of all new stuff. That new Edge of Dawn is amazing. The track I plan on playing is smooth ;)

Forgot it at the club again but after reading your post I got annoyed. I can't believe you got me to walk back to work after a 5 hr night there. Posting set list whe nI wake up. Actually a good chunk of the new music listed and ALL of the songs/bands that I personally mentioned have already been out for the last 2 weeks some for longer. You probably are not aware so let me also clue you in in a little fact. Labels give club DJ's early promo service. While E.U. labels don't normally give U.S. DJ's advance works if you are referred to them by a band or someone you have made a connection with you can get service. Although in your case it will probably take more than a sig at the bottom of your forum posts claiming to be a DJ at a night that no longer exists. They tend to verify that you actually are a DJ at a nightclub. Not some guy who just puts DJ in front of his name as if wishing would make it so. Also refer back to our facebook page from Monday with my post about tons of new music and the responses from the customers saying they enjoyed the new material. We posted about new music on Monday and then 2 days later Saint posted they were a doing a Progression night this week. Without a doubt this was planed by Saint long before my post and was not in the least bit influenced by us. It was none the less announced after we did our thing so DO NOT try to make this as if we were trying to copy his event. So get you facts straight. One last note never played 17 from Repo I normally use Zydrate.
