I only know two methods and i usually just combine them (the Bohemian and the French rituals). -I've experimented with gummy bears a bit now, but i'm not very gracefull with fixing an absinthe with them yet.

I've been wanting to have a few people over my place for a drink. -Maybe that would be nice, i'll bring a bottle over, I've been drinking Huguet which is Andoran, lately. God, I love absinthe. mmm.

You must try Chartreuse then too, if you haven't already. It's another potent green (or sometimes yellow) liquor. French monks have been making it for 100s of years, and you can find it at specialty stores in MI. It's very popular in New Orleans around Mardi Gras. They like to call it embalming fluid there.

I'm sorry Medea for forgetting you. I knew I was forgetting someone. I was so hot in there that i'm surprised that Jason passed out instead of me. I have fixed my faux pah. I'm glad you made it home ok. How was Poland???

Awww... wow... the outpourings of luv are wonderful!! I feel squishy inside now. I was only teasing you guys anyhow, I know how hard it is to remember every last person you ran into.

Poland as a country and an experience, was awesome. The churches and other architechture were amazing. Wroclaw was a beautiful city filled with interesting buildings and history, and it also is home to a good many of the colleges in Poland. My cousin Witek is a font of random tidbits, and walking around the city with him was like having a personal guided tour. I really loved that feeling of history, the idea that there are stores and houses that normal, everyday people live in that have been around since before anyone knew that the American continents even EXISTED.

As a family trip... it was fucking depressing. My ciocia (translation=aunt) is seriously on her last legs... She lost 2 kilos in three days. That's about five pounds. When we left, she was on an IV with a home nurse visiting, and she was getting so weak that a half hour visit would tire her out, almost to the point of fainting... That and hearing my mother puke her guts out on a regular basis was enough, but add to that the fact that my ciocia and babcia (translation=grandma) just couldn't manage to stop crying, especially when around each other. It was getting to the point that I just avoided a lot of them by the end. I just couldn't take that palpable feeling of sadness.

Oh, that and the fact that my cousin Witek, who is a very smart man and nice in many other ways, is a raging homophobe. But then, most of the country agrees with him. If you think that the US is bad... the leader of the Conservative Party and a leader of gay movement over there were on a "Crossfire"-like TV show. The gay leader was asking for tolerance and the Conservative says "You have tolerance. We tolerate you by not shooting you." ... On national TV. And the ENTIRE nation is almost all like that.

But my cousin Kalina on the other hand was very fun to be around. She's a rather goofy girl, and an art student. I bought around 7 pieces of original hand-made glass jewelry from her roommate. It's all beautiful stuff.

He sort of half passed out while he was dancing with me. It was so hot that he just kinda went in my arms but fortunately I kept him standing and he wasn't out for very long. I got him to the bar and poured an ice cold water over him. That seemed to wake him up a bit.
