Eevee
I'm not going to attach the article since this is creepily close to my home...but, it has been recently reported that a 22-year-old cyberstalker lives right on my street. He would target people on Stickam...usually young boys (ranging from 9-late teens) and either pose as a young girl or a young boy (if the boy was gay). He'd use blackmail to get them. The pig had a website he posted on and said how he enticed a 12-year-old to perform sexual acts on webcam...and his argument was that the boy said he was 13...ughh! ...There are copies of his blog accounts and how he would explain how he would blackmail people. Ugh...so creepy. There's more details about how he enticed boys and then even turned some over to the FBI for child pornography.

Well...I'm not saying that the younger ones were gay, did I? Actually, they went into detail on the 9-year-old case a little...and the pedo had posed as a young girl. If convicted, and he seems to be incriminating himself more than enough for that to happen, he won't be your neighbor for long.

taysteewonderbunny
A bit off topic, but inclinations toward members of the same sex are sometimes known to those that have them, even if they don't know exactly what they mean, as early as 8 or 9. Some people, as adults, will recollect attractions as early as 4 or 5. In my case, I remember having a terrible, terrible crush on a girl when I was in the 3rd grade. But none of this justifies pedophilia.

TheGimp
my step father was guilty of this, well not with young boys. he would do something similar however, he would pretend to be a young boy and talk to girls then he would get pictures and pretend to be a young girl to get pictures of young boys so he then could in turn get more pictures of young girls...he finally got caught about 2 years ago, thank god...only bad thing about it, shit was all over the news >.<

~Tszura~
this dude still deserves a shift kick to the nuts...like this I agree with this. What I am about to say, however, may piss some people off, but it is in no way a defense of forced sex, pedophilia, or anything of the sort. I was perp'd on myself as a child, and think cutting nuts off would be appropriate in many a situation, but there are some things I don't like about the Sex Offender registry. My main issues are the way people are listed and what the public does with it. On the registry, it doesn't tell the whole story about the situation. A 17 year old male could have oral sex with a 15 year old female that he thought was 17, and be labeled a sex offender for the rest of his life. I'm not excusing the act, but "sex offender" for the rest of his life? What's fair about that? The laws also allow for someone to be put on The List who has been caught urinating in public 3 times, I believe under "indecent exposure." So you get drunk three times, pee behind a gas station, get caught, and are now a sex offender? WTF? If the sex offender list is going to exist, they should put more of the backstory on there so the public has a better idea as to what has happened. And for those that did perp, the way the laws are now, with the restrictions of how many feet they can live by a bus stop, or school, this basically forces all sex offenders to live in and around selected areas. Does this make anyone any safer? The arguments with this could be that the sex offenders could all start buddying around, and encourage each others bad behavior, and start the perp circle all over again. I'm not saying we should make it any easier for anyone who has been convicted, but the true stories need to be considered. I know a common consensus is that the victims of the perps have to live with what happened to them forever, so why shouldn't it be hard? I agree, and I'm not saying make it easier for perps to live, but we need to look at what we are doing. I say this because I'm picturing a perp not being able to find a home, or a job, and basically becoming so desperate that they resort to crime, and perping all over again instead of trying to rehabilitate themselves. Some people are honest about their recovery, and I would personally rather help to rehab, than to be a part of an environment that just encourages them perping again because we think they should be punished. I'm sorry if I offend anyone with my personal stance. Can everyone be rehabilitated? No. I'm all for castrating when it involves a situation like someone raping a child or something like that, but regarding The List, we need to look at situations individually before we pass judgment, or try some vigilante justice. n0Mad
I agree with you Josie. I gave you a +1. I'm all for punishing sex offenders to the fullest extent possible and in some cases even more. But I'm totally against the registry. Anyone read "The Scarlet Letter"? Or "Les Miserables"? Guest Megalicious
There are some sick people in this world. Agreed. What is even sicker is the fucks that think loving underaged children is OKAY and thinking that they are being discriminated against by not being able to "love" these underaged children. They even go as far as comparing themselves to gays and how gays had to fight for their rights and now they are. FUCKING SICK.... just thinking about it makes me want to throw up. There's a difference between two consenting adults vs. one consenting adult and a kid who doesn't yet have the life experience, education, and brain function to make an informed decision.
