Started out as a pop-n-lock breakdancer back in 1997 under the b-boy name "goldie". He could be seen at many of Detroit's raves and underground clubs(Motor) from 1997-2003. Even though he spent those years ever expanding his knowledge in b-boying he was also digging the crates and adding vinyl to his library. Shopping at record stores such as Melodies & Memories and the late great Record Time in the metro Detroit area. There he met friends Houseshoes and Eddie "Mitry" Coosaia. Mike and Ed shared very similar tastes in the classics as well as house music. Recently they joined forces in 2008 to create the up and coming house duo "Solephood". Ed now resides on the west coast of Los Angeles and Mike in Detroit. It's a rare show to see these two together and definitely a gig you NEVER want to miss! Mike was musically brought up playing the drums and educated on all genres of music but mostly aimed at the blues, jazz, rockabilly, funk, soul, and hip-hop. Which is where he gets his unique blend of sound for his mixes. He has been playing sets from 1997-2011. Coming up strong to the scene under the name GOLDN1 from 2006-2011. Playing along side some of the greats in the industry such as Detroit's own Terrence Parker, Johnny Fiasco, Jay West, John Acquaviva, Big Cee...just to name a few. Tune in, turn on, open your soul! School is now in session!! Edison -“I find out what the world needs, then I proceed to invent.”-Thomas Edison “The Age of Electric Light and Power” gave birth to many of the inventions that sustain us in this day and age, but none so essential as the music of DJ Edison. Hailing from one of the originating cities of House music, Detroit, Edison brings inventive, funk infused creativity to his beats. Taking the kick drum from disco and sprinkling it with a little funk and soul, this Motor City DJ is a sought-after presence in the city of Motown; he lends his name to many a label, Disfresh, Radstack and Dug Recs. The inventor of the “sound writer” did nothing so important than to start us on the journey led by DJ Edison, as exactly 125 years after the invention of the phonograph we were brought into the vicinity of his unique sound. Since 2002, Edison has brought his presence and his music to the scene, and both get the party started, and keep it going strong, no matter the time of day or night. He resides with The Detroit House Collective, coming soon to your city to bring the noise. In essence, he found out what the world needed, and then proceeded to invent. Enjoi Kyle Davis aka enjoi, has had a long love affair with music. It all started with listening to mo-town classics and oldies as child with his father, and evolved into playing various musical instruments throughout his school years. Kyle’s experiences as a bassist for several punk/hardcore bands with his friends gave him a desire for high energy music while his time as a Jazz bassist in school helped develop his love for soulful music. When Kyle was introduced to the electronic music scene in Detroit he knew that DJ'ing was the next step in his musical career. With his exposure to different genres of electronic music he realized he had a true passion for house music. When you see Kyle you can expect all sorts of different house genres ranging from jackin/soulful to electro/fidget house. Kyle has spun along side such great Detroit DJ's as Terrence Parker, DJ Jacq, Minx, T.Linder, and DJ Seoul. Aside from being a member of the Detroit House Collective, Kyle also helps manage SuckerPunch! Productions with his partner in crime EKEM. As a rising dj in the Detroit electronic scene enjoi is certainly someone to keep your eyes and ears on. No matter what genre of house he decides to spin you are guaranteed a high energy set that will make you dance the night away. The Deaken Chris was born and raised just 10 min south of downtown Detroit. Brought up on the sounds of Motown's R&B and Soul, he was first introduced to electronic music by his older brother, who got him watching the MTV show Amped. It wasn't until '97 that he went to his first underground electronic event at the Old East Town Theatre on Harper and Van Dyke. It didn't take long after walking through the doors for him to realize that this was something he really wanted to become a part of. In late '99 he decided that he wanted to give DJ'ing a try. Inspired by the then thriving detroit trance scene, he started playing progressive music at house parties and a few after-hour events. As he grew older, his taste in music started to mature and turn back to the soulful sounds of what he grew up on
