phee
I will miss them.... but my wallet could not "join in the chant" as it stands right now anyway. (I am happy I saw them at DEMF)
Simon Bar Sinister
that sucks. shouldn't we be a "hometown" gig at this point?
DJ Saint
that sucks. shouldn't we be a "hometown" gig at this point? At one point McCarthy did live in the area. His ex-wife and children still do, but this is far from his hometown or even an adopted hometown. After the low turnout for the Fixmer/McCarthy show this past April (which was one of the best shows I've ever seen PERIOD), who can blame them for skipping over a town where their fans don't even come out to see them play... To Chicago I go...

No surprise they wouldnt come around again after that. But im going to Chicago with you for it so I will survive... HYPE THIS SH!T
Guest Megalicious
I was thinking of going home for the show on the 17th. Bri already called me and I am seriously debating it. I wish it was at the Glass house and not the Key club... so much smaller so much better. But you take what you can get I suppose....
Simon Bar Sinister
the only show that I'd have any kind of a shot at would be Cleveland, and it ain't much of a shot. :(
fish
i've seen way too many shows with 15-30 people at them around detroit so i guess i can't blame anyone for skipping here. but i can't imagine that the cleveland show will have a huge turnout either and it would be a much quicker drive for them to do chicago>detroit>toronto than chicago>cleveland>toronto. oh well, i'm glad i saw them at demf too (was out of town for Throbbing Gristle during the Fixmer/McCarthy gig). looks like they are playing much smaller places than the US tour they did a few years ago so i'm sure these shows will be great.
