Do you see this Happening?America Collapsing

Recommended Posts

With this 700 billion dollar bailout,do you see our country ceasing to exist in 2008-2009?

Tent cities popping up everywhere

Health care costs out of control

Job losses throughout the whole country

Energy costs wrecking havoc on everyone.

Crime is way up,( effects from crappy economy)

They always say "all things must come to an end".

Give your best answer, theory of what you might think will happen to this nation.

My theory is that if US government keeps growing, the USA eventually collapses on itself and we become a North American Union; but this could take a long time to happen. Eventually there is going to have to be actual political reform or it will come naturally with the downfall of the country. I also think war-corporatism would favor a NAU over the USA. This is just the direction I see things going.

Economy wise.. I'm really blown away that we don't have privatized banking and money backed by anything. Out of everything in the US government, the Federal Reserve pisses me off most. I don't understand why we have a banking system that just increases debt, and it hasn't been taken care of.

its a slow crash if it is.

socialism whould happen. not a huge crash.

the only way we whould experience a soviet type crash whould be anything that creates hyper inflation. stops the trucks from shipping to food stores. a quick stop.

the fed spitting out money like this is going to make the dollar look like the paso

you want a drink wiith that, that will be 119 bucks and 99 cents

look up the crash of the soviet union and how bad it was for those living there after it happened. its scary stuff. the city whould be a place to fear if it happens in amarica. we whould take a crash with a lot more panic. and theres a hell of a lot more guns around.

Collapse is a overly alarmist word. But yeah things seem , at the moment to be getting worse. We've been here before though. Hell we were murdering each other wholesale 30 Waterloo's worth of casualties in a row for 5 years straight at one time. This is child's play compared to that.

I wonder what this generation would do if we had to go to the great depression again or WWII again. We'd all curl up in a ball and cry for our mommies. This is not Armageddon. A downturn? Sure.

most whould smoke weed. find a way to get drunk.

but this is the city keep in mind where half the people dont know how to use nature to survive. some are learning the trade of the backyard garden, which saved cuba from starvation. but its far and few between.

its been bad for michigan. house crisis. automotive going to shit. where getting the blunt of a lot of stuff, but there still is jobs in michigan. theres just a LOT more compitition for those jobs, even the minimum wage jobs theres applications left and right.

The reason our money isn't backed by anything is because of privately-owned banks. The Federal Reserve is not part of the U.S. Government. It is privately owned by a consortium of foreign and domestic banking interests. Congress is not allowed to know who actually owns the Fed and it is immune to investigation and audit. The Fed creates the money out of thin air and then loans it to the Government at 8% interest. This is why you pay income tax...to pay on that interest. Congress signed over all the gold to the Fed in 1913 and no one really knows where it went after that. Our banking system is based on debt because that's what benefits the central banks the most.

ARE YOU GETTING PISSED OFF YET?

None of this is rocket science, nor is the information difficult to obtain. The core reason we're in the mess we're in, is because most people have no clue as to how our economy actually works and couldn't care less. Sorry if I seem ranty, but this issue, over all others, really sticks in my craw.

Tinfoil hat, if you please, Rev. I'm gonna climb into my bomb shelter with a pitcher of Kool-Aid and wait out the coming apocalypse.

Shit is hitting the fan most definatly, and when it does my ass is heading up north. My dad apparently has been waiting for this shit to happen and is basically all prepared to live off the grid and shit.

Ditto. Pestilence and I are survivalists, and my Boshy has the know how of everything. If worse comes to worse we go up north, live off the land, and be fine.

also that interest rate controls inflation from getting out of hand. sadly our dollar has been getting lower and lower. and im sure with more money being pumped into the system instead of out of the system, at such a high rate its not going to look good. and sadly amarica has to tend to the wishes of every other country who uses the us dollar for there transactions. other countries are pressing the matter of fixing the problem quickly. there choice to invest in the us. and to use our dollar as there reserve currency.

I see soup kitchens and bread lines. We should not and cannot depend upon our government to help us out. Nonprofit organizations will need to reach more people. People will need to turn to churches and charitable organizations for help. We the people will need to help each other cause our government won't.

Collapse is a rather strong word. I think we have too much pull in the world to actually collapse but I do see us as maybe not being the number 1 power anymore and that won't mean the end of the world.

I will guarantee you there is nobody in the world who can tell me the name of the country who remained the most powerful forever. Because there isn't one. Nobody will remain on top forever and some have let it go better than others. In the 1940's Churchill had a meeting with FDR in which he told him that essentially when WWII was over America, not Britain would be the new great world power.

Alternately, as Rome faded they cracked down more on citizens rights, became more religious, jingoistic and isolated. They were so terrified to lose their mantle that they would do anything to keep it. Once they did fall it threw Europe into utter chaos, splintering the empire at all parts.

I think that most likely, our country is going to enter into a period of economic decline and internal violence, followed by a breakup into several smaller countries (or just a greatly weakened government).

Its interesting to note that the top dog in the world seems to shift every hundred years. For instance...

Portugal (1450-1530)

Spain (1530-1640)

Holland/Netherlands/Dutch (1640-1720)

France (1720-1815)

Britain/U.K. (1815-1920)

U.S.A. (1920-2010)

China (2010-?)

Also, researching Russia after the breakup of the USSR, as well as the economic problems which hit Argentina in 2001 would be a good idea to know what to expect.

Here's how they plan to deal with the violence...

There's an old Chinese curse that goes, "May you live in interesting times."

Well as of right now, it's just giving them a vacation from the sandbox and time to spend with their loved ones. We can hope that shit doesn't hit the fan. I do find it rather amusing though that they have to be tased before they are allowed to carry one hehe.
