I don't know. The past few fridays have been pretty awesome, expecially this past one. It's always awesome to see a sizeable group of people still dancing their asses off at 4:30am. But maybe that's just me....

I personally like Fridays better.

1, the music is AWESOME. (Hmm...I wonder why... ;))

2. Less tourists. Instant win.

3. You can actually DANCE. That is, there is room on the floor. I don't like sardine cans.

I love Saturdays too, and I go both nights every week, but in general, I love Fridays even more than Saturdays. There have been a lot of people lately, the perfect amount really. Plenty to meet awesome people and have the floor moving, but not so many that you actually cannot dance without some asshole spilling beer on you or burning you with the end of their cigarette.

We've gotta do something about that glowstick boy though. Seriously. I have nothing against glowsticks, but on strings? Really? He is going to hurt someone - he has no respect for the fact that he is not the only one on the floor. I almost said something to him last week. And I am very non-confrontational...

I have only ever been on a Friday night. Would love to come this Friday, but I work the next morning, so I will be there on Saturday...except I just cannot get enough of the music on a Friday night...so I just might have to make an appearance! Hee hee..

Last Friday was absolutely AWESOME! I had a blast and the music was great! I was there until 4:30am and was still dancing, was a lot of fun. Love it.

Ewww he did actually hit you? We really oughta get the bouncers. WTH man...do not want.

Glowstick raver boys should stay up on the stage where they belong. I like having them up there - they do look pretty cool when they are injuring people. And I'd rather glowstick dancers be up there than the live sex shows we've had recently. -.-;;;

Have we met? I was also there until close last Friday, and I will be there both nights this week. We should meet! :)

aww I was sooo there and dancing at 4:30...i was in all white and it was soo fricken awesome...my requested song was played and everything...i dont know why i was soo excited about that it just made me happy :p

You really have to go about 50 times on both Saturday and Friday to get any real sense of one night over the other. Going a few times gives no particularly good feel for what happens there as things are different from one week to the next due to the nature of changing environments/weather/DJ etc.

One thing that has been universal over the years is a smaller, slightly more "hardcore" crowd most of the time on Friday. Which, depending on your personality and "goal" is a positive or negative.

The key aspect of a club is the social aspect, as the music part is secondary for the majority of people. (Most) People go out for Biophillia reasons, that is, to socialize to one degree or another. The atmosphere, the temprature, the AIR, the music, etc. Most people get better sets at home as they can get 100% requests played for hours on end. Its not possible for us DJ types to fully compete with that. Its the social aspect and atmosphere that a club offers.

I used to live at CC on both nights, pros and cons to both.

From a "DGN standpoint" which, unfortunately, i have too look at it from, Saturday is better as its better for promotion as the "tourists" (the general gist of DGNs philosophy is everyone started out as a tourist, depending on definition) are the key source of new blood for us. Most of the regulars and/or old timers are already on DGN or already know about it but just aren't on it. Also most people (long established fact) are "Free" on Saturday more than they are on Friday, making it a more likely day for solicitation and such.

Just a fact of the day of the week rather than anything to do with the club night. If it was just me personally, in a vacuum with no other responsibilities, endless energy, endless money, I'd probably go on both nights, for different reasons, with a slight bias toward Friday. But factor DGN into the mix and that changes rapidly.

In any case, DGN has sent huge amounts of business to CC over the last 7 years, for all nights. That is a (small) part of why it was created. Despite any critisisms about the place... Viva La CC!

All the Friday things are big positives for me. Great music (which is honestly tied for #1 for me...I hear a lot of new stuff I didn't know before at CC and almost my entire music library is built up around music I heard for the first time at the clubs in Japan and to a lesser extent since coming back at CC, and then built from there...before going to the clubs I listened to...less interesting music). Less tourists. (I understand that we all started as tourists - heck, I've only been a 'goth' or 'goth friendly' or whatever for about 4 years...when I was in high school I was a total teacher's pet/boring person. I don't call new people tourists. I call tourists tourists...people who are there solely to watch and laugh at and get a kick out of the weirdos. Who are there to nub on the scantily dressed girls. Who don't bother to try at all to fit in. {My first time ever at the club I still took the effort to dress the part.}) More hardcore people. But lately the fashion has been pretty tiptop both nights, which is honestly very important to me...I got into all this through the clothes. Basically, if you look good, you are very very much my friend (well, at least, if you wanna be.....hahaha). I love fashion, I love clothes, I love people who take an effort. Lately this has been pretty good both nights though. LOVE!

I haven't been 50 times yet to either, since I've only been back in the country for 3 months, but I have been going every week to both for the last couple months, and I have a decent handle on the recent situation. Maybe it'll change come fall and winter. The only thing that is certain is that I will certainly be there to see it!!

On the DGN note - can I get some cards? ^^
