GothicRavenGoddess (3)
yeah, I really liked them, as well. I didn't stay for the while set, becaue of Ethan getting hit in the face and he was a little out of it.. that drunk asshole was hitting everyone he could!!! so he wasn't the only one that got hit in the face... but over all, it was a good show.... apparently, Columbine got banned from playing at SMALL'S again... sound issues, lacking securty, I wouldn't WANT to play there again, if I were them... sorry... ran by a bunch of fucking idiots if you ask me.... GothicRavenGoddess (3)
Naw, the drunk dude was blonde and goofy.. But it was ME that had to end the fight. Good thing neither one took a swung at me, otherwise I'd been hauled off to jail for killing someone. I was a patron, who paid to see a show.. why the hell was the half-assed security just standing there with their thumbs up their ass??? Gawd!!! GothicRavenGoddess (3)
yeah, that's nice for you. I don't think that I'll go back to that place again, unless some one I REALLY want to see plays there...
MarsDustDoug
yeah, that's nice for you. I don't think that I'll go back to that place again, unless some one I REALLY want to see plays there... i have been to small's probably around 20 times. I have never seen someone act that much of an ass. Its not the venues fault in no way that someone gets drunk and acts like an idiot. Also you have to remember from a bouncers stand point. "are they moshing or fighting" yes it sucks that sometimes it gets elevated to punches being thrown but how pissed would you be if you were just having fun moshing around with friends to get tossed? Dont hate a venue for someone else's stupidity. For shows, Small's is legendary and a great place to go.

I'm just saying that, if there is ever a GFP show there....I'm bringing my own team...for several reasons 1. It IS Hamtramack...and though I have never reall hung out there myself, I know people that have been in highly populated bars in that area and their car was broken into....I can't risk someone breaking into a car at one of my shows, or worse...stealing band equipment. 2. I can spend 100 bucks on three guys that I personally trust, have great attitudes, and a good eye for trouble. No offense to the bouncers there At Smalls...but I would rather be on the safe side. 3. I do work with alot of mid-level regionals/ nationals....bands that tour...if I am bringing them into a town that has a bad rep...I want to make sure they feel protected and that nothing comes up missing. btw doug...check your messages...I got an idea!!! Dont hate a venue for someone else's stupidity. For shows, Small's is legendary and a great place to go. what bouncers? may I remind you that at the end of it all, it was obvious that it was a fight. I stepped in and had to end the fight. If it was moshing, it would have stopped, when the music stopped. so that's not an excuse. Had it been different, had it not been obvious that it wasn't just moshing, I wouldn't be so upset. And they banned Columbine from playing there again. Like it was their fault. And it wasn't just one guy, it was two. and it was obviously a fight. I should not have been the one to end the fight. Had I not stepped in and pushed the one dude back, he would have still been swinging at anyone. He hit like 6 people, for no reason. I understand where you are coming from, I reall do, but that's not the case. Like I said before, it was obvious that a fight had broke out. It wasn't just moshing... and Like I also said, had I not stepped in, it would have continued. That wasn't my job. I shouldn't have had to do that. And as for the croud... that dude was like 6 times bigger than me! someone else should have stepped in. Had he decided to swing at me, two things could have happened.. he'd hit me and i'd have killed him, or he'd hit me and knocked me the fuck out, and NO ONE still would have jumped in, and it would have continued. It was over all a bad experience. The show was great... they just need to have better bouncers who know what the difference is, and won't leave it up to a short little girl to end a damn fight. He could have seriously injured someone!!! Try and see it from my point of view, at least before you tell me to look at it from the bouncer's point of view. That guy towered over me! That guy towered over me! hehe dont worry im not sticking up for anyone but the venue. I see your side indeed and i totally agree with you. I was just saying dont blacklist an entire venue because some douchebags at a show was being a fool. If that was the case then honestly how many venues and shows would we all still be going too? Im not attacking you nor saying you are wrong, just saying dont pin the rep of a random douchebag on an entire place I do find it completely effin ridiculous that Columbine is banned from playing there... uncalled for and Small's loss at that. GothicRavenGoddess (3)
yeah, i totally agree.. i think it might have something to do with Sevin destroying his keyboard on stage.... who knows... i just don't get it. its not the place it self, that I was doggin on, it was the ppl that were there that were supose to keep things safe, ya know? if I don't feel safe, I won't go to a venue anymore, plain and simple. And as it stands, Small's is the one place i don't feel safe at... so far. That may change, as time goes on, and I may go to less and less places. I won't stop going to there, completely, but i will be more selective about who i go to see there. that's all I'm saying.
