Destroit
NO! I missed Benni Benassi...AGAIN? He is like...my techno god. Paul Oakenfold is okay, but I can't believe I missed BB for like the third time.
Homicidalheathen
YaH I too am pissed I missed Benny. Gotta look in the Metro times EVERY WEEK. I am not going to pay 35 bucks to see Paul in a crowded bar with no place to sit standing behind a bunch of youngsters....I am short. I have bad knees. Not going. I don't like paying concert hall prices for Bar concerts it pisses me off.
Jinx
I don't like paying concert hall prices for Bar concerts it pisses me off. I understand what your saying but to put it in perspective. Some of the larger DJ's cost more than many bands to book. It is not uncommon for the top tier DJ's to make $40,000 - $60,000 for a a 2hrs set. On those prices the bars try to cover as much as they can on the door but normally still need bar sales to see a profit. When you factor what it's costing them to do the event $35 is a reasonable price if you really enjoy the artist. I was lucky enough to be one of the opening DJ's at last years Oakenfold show and I can tell you I really enjoyed is set. JINX
