Jinx
Sadly I did not know about this till earlier last evening. Bassline the promoters that have taken over the drum and bass crew have brought in a very unique artist that I am very much interested in hearing. Quick Bio to follow but if you need another reason to come out tonight here it is. Hailing from South America she has a unique style and story. She has achieved a lot in turntablelism and has fought her way up through the ranks of such in this male-dominated industry. D'Jam (Tara) has been spinning in Ecuador for over 8 years in all the top clubs and venues, gaining notoriety by performing and spinning at open-air parties, special events, live radio broadcasts and fashion shows. She has performed at some of Ecuador's biggest national and diplomatic events. In Ecuador D'Jam has appeared and performed on many local and national news/music programs such as H-TV, Canal Uno, Teleamazonas, Ecuavisa and Gamavision. She also co-starred in a short film called " Mas perros que Mujeres" which went to film festivals in Argentina, Spain and Canada. Influenced by the best in electronic and dance music in the world, she is set to take on whatever is thrown at her. Her music and creative perspectives from being part American yet South American make her different. She envisions and understands cross-culture music today. This gives D'Jam a whole universe of unknown creative juice and vision.
