Joab
Greetings All; Anyone considering venturing to The Lab tonight? We haven't been in many moons, since their schedule (or lack thereof) got too wierd. It used to be our alternate living room a year ago and more. Severina's working hours have also complicated things, since she is a Registered Nurse on the evening shift. (By the way, how's this for Goth? Her specialty is end-of-life care. That's right, lot's of death!) Anyway, it's not a done deal, but she DOES have the night off, and I am trying to persuade her. So, has The Lab changed, for better or worse, lately? Pax Vobiscum, (Peace be with you) Joab "The Teacher" PS If anyone is going, (and if we do indeed make it ourselves), and if you want to say "Hi", I am the old guy with long brown (and gray) hair. I will be found next to a short woman with very long brown hair... heck, just look for the geezer next to the most attractive woman in the place. Joab
Greetings Troy (And Everyone Else); Yes we did go to The Lab last night. We saw a few familiar faces, and a few unfamiliar ones. It was definitely a small turnout. For those who have been fond of The Labyrinth in the past, it hasn't changed a lot. It appears to have been VERY SLIGHTLY cleaned up, especially the Bar area. The atmosphere seems to be pretty much the same, and the music was good, although a lot of it was unfamiliar to us. This will sound terribly judgemental, but a large part of the crowd seemed to be composed of what Severina refers to as "Hot Topic Kids". So, apparently what is needed to improve the general ambiance is a larger turnout of actual Goths. Anyway, the experience was generally good, prices are low, and the feeling is Dark and Mellow. I would recommend it as a Thursday night activity, if anyone is interested. I think we will try to continue to appear there, although we can only go every other week, due to Sev's work schedule. Carpe Noctum, (Seize The Night) Joab "The Teacher" PS I think I saw Scary on my way out, but I'm not positive.

mauraway
for troy: i cant do anything for your health, but if you are always free to list yourself on the rideboard if think your transport is iffy. i know in the past you liked the idea. it is open to anyone, i dont discriminate. i think there may be some other people listed in your area. which may or may not be helpful to you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ MI Goth- Industrial Rideboard - Carpool! share rides/ gas money, meet new people, help each other out.
