Troy Spiral (13)
What do you think is a good choice for "strong" but not "horrible" taste? The idea would be so that you dont have to drink 6 bottles of a girly drink, but also not slamming down a shot of pure rocket fuel. The bias being toward good tasting if you have to make a choice of taste vs strength. Somewhere in the middle of decent taste vs strong alcohol content? If there is something that actually tastes GOOD like on the order of Koolaid or milkshakes but is blast strong do tell.
Msterbeau
Being a beer person... I've had some very tasty beers in the 9+ percent alcohol range. Fin du Monde is one.

A GENERAL rule of thumb is, you get what you pay for. I can't bloody stand 5 O'Clock Vodka. Absolute is alright... but lately my tastes have been craving rum. Captain Morgan is a safe choice for rum, not the best, but still a very safe choice. If you're a sick fuck like me who drinks scotch as well, Johnny Walker... red and black are so so.. but if you've the money for it, get the green or blue label.. it'll be worth it trust me. For beer, My tastes are snooty, I don't like domestic, keep that shit away from me. Killians is a very good beer, you'll either love it or hate it, but if it's the alcohol punch your going for, Molson XXX. It's at 7.3% alc content. There's other beers that surpas that, like Camo, but that shit takest like a flat Bush Beer. There's a town a bit north of where I'm at called Frankenmouth, there's a bunch of smaller and local brewmeisters that make beer for sale in that town, you can find alot of good stuff. Like i said though, depends on your tastes, hops, malt, ect, and how much you're willing to spend. It's a trial and error up there, but I seldom ever leave that place without finding a good beer. And that's the ONLY domestic stuff I like. If it's big brand, it best be somewhere other than USA.

Troy Spiral (13)
liquid cocaine, whatever the hell's in that drink, tastes good I think. Jungle Juice,if its made right I've looked both these up over the years, seems to be no consensus on the "right" way to make them. From one bar/party to the next they are almost totally different. Any idea whats in the ones you like?

Fierce Critter
If I'm at City Club - a long island. In my early days clubbing in Detroit - double shots of 151 - either Cuervo or Bacardi. If you can down it without the napalm effect on your throat, you'll be rewarded by a lovely, actually tangible sense of intoxication spreading somewhere from your chest area, down your body, through your limbs to the tips of your fingers & toes. I used to drink vodka to get drunk. I hate the taste pretty much of all hard liquor. vodka mixes well and downs fast. These days, I don't like to subject myself to things that taste bad just to get a buzz on. So I've discovered these are tasty: Hot Damn 100 - cinnamon schnapps that doesn't fuck around. Mix it strongly into any lemon-lime soda and it tastes like you're drinking red hots candies. Any mix of high-proof schnapps and fruity regular shnapps. There's a line of relatively new shnapps on the market that's 99 proof - comes in banana and several other flavors, here's a website. I'm not particularly fond of banana flavor. But I was tired of long islands at CC and asked Marvin to make me something strong, fruity & sweet. He proceeded to blend some of that 99 bananas with about a half dozen fruity schnapps and maybe some OJ. DEFINITELY did the trick, and tasted great. BrassFusion
Agreed with Marc that high proof beer is a good way to go. There's a local pale ale called Final Absolution that you should very much try =) some wines are good, too. like... the box or jug variety. Hellion
Toxic Waste 10 different liquors(Your own Choice of booze that is) and some chasers,Like fruit punch or colas, but be warned you must also add some 160 proof Devils Spring Vodka, and some Don Q(requires a 40 oz glass) I recommend not to even think of driving,or even trying to walk home, you will not make it,trust me! have not made this stuff in over 15 years, and have no plans on making this deadly brew again. If you do try this,be warned a hangover from hell will be in your future!

Crazed Vampyress
Well this is fruity so it might be considered 'girly' but it works for me every time. And its called The Momi (MO-mee) The mix Orange Juice Vodka Peach Schnapps Coconut Rum Sloe Gin You can vary the amounts however you like, but when i make it the cup usually goes: Ice, 1/3 full vodka (higher proof the better!) 1/3 OJ, the last 1/3 split between the schnapps and rum and then just drizzle a little sloe gin over the top for flavor and the pretty color it makes as it bleeds down the sides and thru the ice. by the time you mix all that fruity-goodness up you cant taste anything other than... well, fruity goodness. and since the mix ends up being 2/3 alcohol it doesnt usually take too many to get you warmed up and fuzzy. THIS IS MY FAVORITE DRINK!!!!
