Trying to coordinate a bulk cleanup move without getting another $150 ticket from the blight police. Bulk Pickup is Monday, August 20th. I have one room of demo debris, 6 lots of yard debris, and multiple overgrown trees and bushes to get to the curb for pickup. There is no way that is all happening Sunday night after 6pm, it's just too unrealistic. If I start now, I should be done by the pickup deadline. Maybe I'm just staring at another ticket, but I can not leave things as they are now or halfway until next pickup in November...whatever...

Listening to MACK ALIVE prepare to do their annual parade down the boulevard and ecstatic that, due to change in plans, I never got the bulk stuff to the curb. It's a corner lot and Detroit already has a bad enough reputation as it is.

However, I can't figure why they are 3 weeks behind their usual parade day of the first Saturday in August. Have Thomas "Hitman" Hearns as the Grand Marshall. And also, why are they having it at the same time as the morning Town Meeting to discuss the Chapter 9 Case filed by Detroit's new Emergency Manager? There is also Breast Cancer awareness and the 31st Annual African World Festival going on in Downtown Detroit. Smells like a political move to me...but hey, what do I know.

Actually had to come inside because the vehicle was getting a bit heated. But now with my break (nap) officially over, It's time to move all the collected items to the curb for bulk pickup happening in the morning...laters
