  1. Here's one..... someone who doesnt fit into my clothes. I'd prefer the guy have more meat on his bones than I do. That way he gives off the impression that he'd "protect" me. Same reason behind them being preferably taller than me.
  2. I would just like an ability to slowly but surely square away my personal debt. I know that wont happen, but maybe in the coming year, an opportunity will arise. Otherwise, I want my family's spirits to lift up and realize that yes, mom is gone but she's always been keeping an eye on us. She always looked out for the family, helped keep it together. Her passing made us all closer and I honestly believe that was mom's doing, one of the last gifts she could give us.
  3. Another thing, and it's something my sister brought up after I recently lost my job... "You gotta let go of the Goth thing... you cant keep doing it." I spoke up "Um, yes you can, and I'm not goth." If we were all anti-conformists, we'd be jobless. A "gentle medium" is abiding by the rules and suggestions but also finding a way for it to suite you. I had to wear a uniform at Auntie Anne's, but at least they let me keep my piercings. In a corporate environment, I'm not sure my labret would be suitable, but I have a retainer for that. If my plugs are an issue, there's flesh-coloured ones I can purchase to hide the fact my ears are stretched. I'm not losing 'myself', I'm just making it more tasteful towards those who dont know or like it. And there's a time and a place to be that, dress that way, listen to that music. The rest of the time, you do have to bite the bullet. Going to a club? Pull out that spiked collar! Going to work? Opt for the ankh necklace? Blast the music in your car, but bare through whatever plays on the company radio at work. I personally am all for the gentle medium. I can abide by the dress code, just let me hunt a while and I'll find something that we both like.
  4. "The Siren" by Aesthetic Perfection
  5. I definitely want to get more of their eyeshadows. /lust
  6. "Paint it Black" by Voltaire. Probably gives you lots of ideas. ~.^
  7. Wow, and I thought the rules I had were bad. I had a 2am curfew always (unless I cleared it, repeatedly, weeks ahead of time) and that included the internet. Granted, that was my stepdad being the hypocritical idiot that he was and he forcing my mom to go along with it. I had to have a job (granted, I wanted one) and I had to stay in school. As for when I moved out, I moved out at 22 and never looked back. After a few months, I COULDNT look back. But anyway, my stepdad just questioned me moving in with my boyfriend, saying we were "playing house". My mother supported me but didnt want to see me leave. I was her youngest. But she'd call me every night and ask how my day went and such, after I moved out. The only issue we had was when they came over to the apartment and gave it a look-over. My mother called it a "slum" because of the cracks in the plaster and the broken windows. Granted, the place could've been far worse but yeah, it could've been better. And for the record, by law, they cant keep you in their house. If you've got a plan to move out, a job and means to get to where you're headed, they cant stop you legally. So there's no way they can take you with them when they move to Traverse City.
  8. Is it okay if it's dyed? Is it wrong to want a guy who knows how to handle his alcohol and knows when to stop? Or at least take heed when someone says "Hey, you've had enough." That would be nice.
  9. I always said "artist". I AM an artist, I dont need tog row up to be one. I just kinda want to get into crime scene clean-up now. Work a dirty job and come home and feel like I did something good by rendering a home useful again. Thankless job but eh, it'd need to be done. Or if I returned to school, I'd do something medical. I could so kick major ass in it.
  10. Mostly the music. The fashion portion of it comes from some people seeking to emulate how the musicians dressed and appeared. My dress style has grown a bit over the years, has developed and even though I work at Vanity now, I still find ways to show my preferred sense of fashion. My look goes slightly corporate on occasion. However, I may not always dress in the black and the platforms and such but look at the majority of the music on my external..... it aint all just techno and metal, yo!
  11. Part of my job interview outfit: Denim, striped 3/4 sleeve shirt with a patch of scissors cutting a heart. Socks and my bathrobe, since my room is cold. D:
  12. I'd totally attend this! And probably laugh my ass off. As for being a roaster, I is not a comedian on command. I'm not funny when staged. D:
  13. I took a look-see through my deviant art gallery and noticed that my modeling and photography gets more attention than my art. At first, I thought "Poo! Do not approve!" but also, I dont do much photography. I dont whip out my camera all the time, I foten make it feel lonely on my desk, sitting between my laptop and terabyte. So, with that in mind, in 2011, I'm going to do more photography. Shooting more models, more concerts, more scenery... and I'm going to rock the shit out of it! There's no excuse not to live up to this goal, especially when people seem to like what my point'n'shoot captures. =3 So, what's your new year's resolution? OR, have you made one yet?
  14. Reading stuff like this makes me glad I havent had fast food in a good while since I moved downstate. I havent gone near McDonald's for about a month or more.
  15. FarrIL is my alias when I dont want other people knowing my name just yet. But I came up with it after reading through male Irish names and came across Farrell which is the surname of a king of Ireland (and hey, with my real name being Tara, which is a place in Ireland where kings were crowned... yeah). Also, the word 'Feral', meaning 'Wild'. Yeah, I was 18 years old and FarrIL came to be. =)
  16. I never had problems when I got physical. I remember being in kindergarten and getting kicked off the bus for a few days after smacking a 5th grader for not stopping when my sister's friend asked repeated times for said 5th grader to stop flicking her hair. I eventually chimed in "Quit it". I caught him flicking her hair, I turned around and said "She said stop it." He did it again, I said "Stop it or I'll hit you." He did it again. *WHAP* Bus came to a screeching halt. Kid stopped bugging my sister's friend after that. 5th grader got bitch-slapped by a 5-year-old. XD But no, I believe in standing up for myself. It's what both my parents taught me. However, they also stressed to never fight unless necessary. I've never felt it necessary, in whatever situation I've been in. Then again, let's just hope that the day I do have to get physical, the person deserves every bit. ;>>
  17. Thinking my family is pretty awesome. Debating on giving two very angry kitties a flea bath.
  18. I LOVED the squeezable tubes of candy gel! OM NOM NOM!!! Now, banana anything = ew. I dont much care for the real thing unless it's in a freaking smoothie! That and Peppermint. I hate "mint" anything. I used to be crazy about York Peppermint Patties... hate 'em now. I'll chew breath-freshening gum but that's about it. I hate MINT!! *hiss*
  19. I'm excited. I think my sister and I are just going to pass out candy this year but driving around Lake Villa... I'm seeing tons of houses with Hallowe'en decorations up. Makes me think/hope that this place is pretty hopping when the day comes. Living up in Midland, I'd see maybe about seven houses total with decorations up... saddened me. Here in Lake Villa, I get more than seven before I even make it to my house. *squee*
  20. I'd have fun in a Zombie apocalypse..... until my car either ran out of gas or I broke something after running over so many. I'm actually kind of partial to the apocalypse mentioned in "Tooth and Nail"... we run out of gas. Think about the shit-storm that that really would cause.
  21. Black skinny jeans from HT (think tripp skater pants, only skinnies) 'Amor Zombie' t-shirt Knee-high sneakers Black thermal sweater
