this is a great shirt for those that want to just "say" they're goth, and go around with the unk(spelling?) on their shirt. maybe 571 sounded like a good number to them. personally, i wouldn't wear that shirt. it's not my style. i have no problem with anyone else wearing it, so long as they don't shove it in my face.

Anyhow yeah I might wear it. I had a conversation with a kid in Diablo II one night where he asked "if you're trying to be different why are you all the same?" where I replied "not different from eachother, just different from you" and that shut him up good.

The answer will be NO. It's some asshole coporation's way of trying to cash in even more than they have. It's reminds me of when jean companies got the brilliant idea to sell pre-ripped pants. Um, I remember wearing ripped jeans long before you could buy them at a mall. I also wore them that way because they just fucking wore out over time and I refused to throw them away, not because I thought I was being cool or trendy.

Nothing fucking worse than when the mainstream finds somethng that's left of center acceptable. It's losing it's appeal. :ralph

This is better than the ones that just say "Indipendant" though. I also actually will support corporations I like. The people who run hot topic are probably a bunch of preppy losers. I know the people who run Noir and if they printed up shirts I might actually buy one (they have shirts but I menat ones with neat slogans and graphics on them).

I'd sooner wear that than something mass produced by Disney (unless it was bootleg Disney stuff, just to piss them off).

I personallly have no idea what the number means or if this has any siginifgance i just saw the shirt (while dgn was down i had nuttin better to do)and knew it would make for a good disscusion over here.

At first i though oh how freaking cool then i thought well why? do we get to go and have meetings and drink beer like the UAW does?

Oh wait we do that at city ever sat. Right?

I just dont know about the shirt, personally i have no problem if any one wears it, i might even wear it just to annoy my family and make a statment, Like the freaks have united so you better watch out, but on some level i just dont like it.

Either way i dont have the cash to spend on a shirt, i need bras, so you wont be finding it in my closet.

Looking at it again i think it is a stament that the goth community is bigger and has made its place in the main stream, perhaps on a here we are you better accept us casue there will be more level. THe ankh shows we will be here for ever and there is nothing any one can do about it us goth have everlasting life. Idivuality through conformity, hmph well it kinda crontradicts allot but just like scary said ""not different from eachother, just different from you""

I dont know i like it but in the same breath i dont guess if i knew the person who made it or the reasons why better i would be pursueaded either way.

Seems to me it's just poking fun at goths (in a fairly good-natured way). I wouldn't wear it myself, but I don't wear any type of T-shirt like that with writing on it, just not my style.

If I saw someone wearing it I'd probably giggle. I thought it was a cute joke.

See, that's what I got from it- sounds like a joke at "our" expense... & I'm not sure how good-natured it is, either. "Individuality through conformity" could be applied to any subculture that's seen as exclusive and/or "cooler than thou". & what does the Ankh have to do with anything- I see a lot more goth types wearing latin crosses than ankhs. Maybe it's a reference to Death of the Endless from The Sandman? Whatever... it's nothing I'd ever wear, but if it gets people thinking even a tiny bit it's all good.
