Men watch the cologne....

Recommended Posts

And before anyone can scream about how you can't be allergic to perfume...

Some of us have a pretty strong SENSITIVITY to it. And it can get our allergic reactions to kick in easier.

Gads, I can't stand cologne & perfume. I mean, I LIKE certain scents - I have a bottle of Crystalle Chanel I open and sniff once in a while. But I can't wear it and I can't be around people who do.

So many times we had to change pews at church when I was a kid and someone doused in that crap would sit down in front or back of us, or change seats at movie theaters, etc.

And being stinky has nothing to do with it. Dousing yourself in cologne to cover body odor is just two bads in one.

Sorry but someone needs to tell that to the entire arab population.

Again I understand the fact that there is no water where they come from but this is the USA, we've got plenty to spare.

Forget the long car trip. Has someone ever walked by you in a department store and you didn't even notice them until...

Whoa! Perfume overload!

And then the person's long gone, but that damn scent just stands there for like a minute while your nasal passages are closing in on you like your Indiana Jones in the Temple of Doom

I am extremely sensitive to perfume/colognes (as well as most floor-cleaning grade solvents), and all it takes is being around it for a couple of seconds for the sensitivity to kick in and I have to leave. Being around it for more than a couple of minutes, and I have a pounding headache that lasts for several hours.

OKay, people just need to take it easy w/ the perfume/cologne. I only put a dab on my neck & wrists & you can't smell it unless you hug me or sit very close to me. I have seen people just go insane and spritz their entire body with the stuff...these are the folks that need to go to Cologners Anonymous

Hrmm , no wonder people run for the hills as soon as i set foot into CC. Been wearing , i guess what would be called "a lot" since time immemorial. The smoke in that fine , very pristine establishment (aka the Smokey mine shaft) tends to mask scents in my experience.

*dunks his head into the pre-CC vat of Cologne* *shakes out hair*

Kind of a contradiction since i have very sensitive skin and cologne, put right onto my skin tends to be an irritant. (usually ends up on the clothing instead)

    • I'm not a doctor but that sounds like a major gastrointestinal problem and is one of this things that basically everyone says to get checked out immediately.   I don't know where you live but I will drag you kicking and screaming to get it checked if you don't go soon. If you die on us, I will dig up your grave and kill you a second time. Take it seriously.
    • I'm sorry they suck so hard.  I'm also sorry to say that it's very likely because of how you look with all the tattoos, piercings, garb, and whatnot.  They probably thought you were there for drugs especially if there isn't anything obviously wrong (and if there was something obviously wrong like a lead pipe sticking out of your leg they might think you did that to yourself just to get drugs.) But admittedly they're a bit jaded because SO MANY people do go actually just trying to score drugs. My mother was in constant pain the last ten years of her life, and even more when the cancer showed up.  She said it was the worst pain of her life.   Pain management is a fucking joke that just isn't  and never has been funny, but they keep telling it anyway. They also can tend to be super judgy on top of the general distrust because it's a religious hospital network.  I think we're lucky they're not still trying to use leeches at this point.     You should have sued their asses.  At least it didn't diminish her quality of life longterm.   Doctors are arrogant assholes too and think that the patient doesn't know shit.  While I admit that not having seven years of medical training doesn't make us regular plebs as qualified, no one knows what's going on with the patients own body quite like the patient.  The patient (or guardian) should always be informed and involved with what their medical team is doing.   There needs to be some type of legal medical bracelet that basically says "this person has a guardian and if you do anything without their  consent they will sue the everloving shit out of you."     All that said, I should probably go see someone about this blood I'm shitting.  But I really don't want to deal with them that much (also the lack of medical insurance doesn't help either.) On the plus side if I do die then it's not my problem anymore so I don't have to worry about it!

    • ~~~~~ We received a letter about that a bit ago.  I know Corewell Health was included in the cyber attach as they were transitioning over from Beaumont Heath.
