Is It Just Me or ...

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed a disturbing trend in kid shows. There used to be a time when shows for youths would teach them how the world works and help prepare them to be grown ups. Now TV shows for young folks are teaching kids how to be kids, but only up to a certain age...then it's limbo for you.

"Neverland is a dream from which you never wake" ~ quote from the new Pan movie commercial.

Is it just me, or does this statement tend to convey the finality of death? Or it could imply walking around in a state of Neverland delusion.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that ever since the anti-bullying campaign started, shows for children have become more violent, rude and disrespectful...?

It's like we are teaching this generation that it's ok to pick on, degrade and criticize everything just so long as you don't "bully" it.

Yeah, that's as clear as mud...good luck future generation of leaders...

Is it just me or does the new "Justice League" movie look more like a bunch of dazed bad guys trying to sport "sex appeal" or really intense good guys leaning towards vigilantism...?

Either way, yikes...

YES! They don't know what they're singing and their tone of voice make all the songs sound weird. Then they have to keep adding kids to keep it going, so now there's a bunch of kids singing weird songs *coughs cough* that i may or may not know *cough* and it's just weird altogether XD

..Is it just me, or are the lines that define each generation seem to be slowly fading away??:crybaby::whistle:

Yeah, I think it officially died after Generation Y (a.k.a. Millennials).  Generation Z is a known as Gen Z and is a hodgepodge of whatever is believed to be trendy at the moment, mixed with attitude, teenage angst and ennui.

"According to Forbes (2015), the generation after Millennials, Generation Z, which they defined as people born from the mid-1990s to the early 2000s, made up 25% of the U.S. population, making them a larger cohort than the Baby Boomers or Millennials."

Makes you and your brother Gen Z by definition.

In our need to label everything, this country tries to pigeon hole EVERYTHING even if it doesn't fit.  So when someone says what generation they are, the person they are speaking to draws and automatic conclusion of the profile of the person they are speaking to and most will then try to adjust their speech pattern to match what they expect to be the attitude of that individual...without even knowing the true nature of that person.

I typed it in red so my new comments wouldn't get confused with the quoted comments...

    • I had two dreams last night. The first was about a man in a director-level importance coming and going from his office. He had trouble with his feet, and it was painful for him to walk. He wore large, warm boots similar to mukluks but comically large. He shuffled while wearing them. When it came time for an important meeting, he switched to a different, more normal boots and walked normally despite being in pain. Then he returned to the large boots. I was watching him from a mall bench outside his office the entire time. The second was about me and my coworker sitting in a room similar to a large, tiered lecture hall. Our boss would bring us comically tall stacks of paper and told us to sort it. The papers were large packets of information on various things, and most of it was basically meaningless. We pointed this out, and my boss shrugged and said "I know" and gave a sympathetic half-smile. There was no way to sort it in a way that mattered. Eating strong cheese before bed is a fun experience. I highly recommend experiencing cheese dreams at least once in your life.
    • It's Tuesday and I'm thinking it's time to get things done.  I just decided to start all over again from scratch. 1. Handle Truck Situation 2. Handle Appointment 3. Handle Yardwork 4. Prepare for Wednesday
    • Why has there been a truck parked outside my window for hours? Glad I don't have a stalker because this truck would be blocking their view.    Had  a dream I was in Pennsylvania with my bf but he didn't look like my bf it was one of them someone physically represented him but you just know it's that person dreams,  ya know?

    • Finally getting things streamlined.  Just need to wait until tomorrow so I will know which direction my truck will be towed in.
