Lace for short.

Location: I'm currently located in Warren, Detroit born.

Gender: I am male.

Employment: Who's currently unemployed seeking employment at...

School: ...Macomb Community College where I plan to re-attend and transfer up north to MSU in Lansing.

Children: No kids, but I would love to have some one day. Though at times I behave like a child when I get into a cutesy mood. P:

Marital status: Not married. Am single.

Hobbies: Reading, writing, gaming, thinking, learning. Breathing has its moments.

How did you find out about DGN?: Lurking on VF, found Nyxiin's profile which lead me here.

How did you choose your DGN name?: Lacilliyr is an adaption of my self given name of Lace. It's a name very real to me.

I'm a writer true enough, however I have never fancied writing about myself much. Least aimlessly, if anyone is further curious, always welcomed to ask questions publicly or privately. I'm much better at answering questions then trying to think of random things. Though I can at least say the basics.

-Im 21

-I consider myself a kid still.

-I tend to post with my HTC EVO

3D, It likes to change words on me from time to time, so if something I post doesn't make sense, I realize it sooner or later an edit it.

-Im terrible anti-social and have a terrible time expressing myself in public.

-I am an Existential Nihilist, but its not to say I don't enjoy life while its here.

-I plan to be a psychiatrist.

-Im very passionate and territorial of my writing.

-I have a 360, GT: Lace Black, feel free to add me. If friends list is full, I will make room. Just send me a message.

-I adore cuteness to the nth degree.

-I have cute moods that bother most people, adding to my reclusiveness.

-I love to listen to peoples problems, hence the psychiatrist bit. Even if I don't know you, I care about you and am always willing to listen to anyone's blight. I only give advice of sought after. I will not try to tell anyone how to live their life. Nor will I judge, condemn, or insult.

-Im not a good person.

/random facts

Hope my list wasn't terribly too long.

Howdy!

Welcome to the place.

What did/are you going to school for?

I think I agree life has no "objective" purpose but that's not necessarily negative, it frees us up to have the purpose of life be whatever we want it to be about. As far as any real evidence we have, that's just reality, not an opinion. Its a glass half empty or half full kind of thing. Is it better to have a supernatural moral dictator dictate to us what our purpose should be so we arent confused? Is it better to be free to choose what our purpose is ourselves? Could go around and around on that, but in the end the only good evidence we have supports door number 2 is what we actually have, rather than what we might want to have. Makes is more precious in a sense.

Hopefully we can trick you, i mean talk you into sticking around and throwing in your two cents on a few things.

you answered pretty much all of this already but its sort of a tradition so here goes:

Sweet, normally I have to ask this sort of question about unusual words/names. Is that meant to be french? or it just sort of work out that way.

I took some core classes and German. I love learning new languages. I plan on finishing up my core classes and moving on from there.

I agree with you though. I was once Christian, I do not hole it against anyone if they are now, but for me it felt like a cage. I feel so much free-er now. I know its not a word, but still. >.>

I plan to stick around, though I tend to be more lurksome than posting.

I just want whatever "the truth is" that is, I'm not entrenched in one idea or another. But I always thought "whats it all about" "were did we come from?" was way more important than the football scores or the latest relationship gossip. After oh... er.. 25 years or so (i'm 37) of searching (all the time assuming there was SOME religion that had it right, i just had to figure out which one). In the last 5 years or so I decided to go to the scary place and read these people that argued that none of them had it right. Scary becaue I WANTED one of them to be right, which, is a piss poor system of finding the truth (what I want to be true and what is true have nothing to do with each other). The arguments are SO much more persuasive on an intellectual level, all the supernatural arguments tend to hinge on foggy logic and "emotional" reasoning which are poor systems of finding the truth. It could be that there really is an objective purpose to life and there really is a supernatural force at work and the arguments showing the lack of this are wrong, but , until I find otherwise, the smart thing is to go with the best information available at the time.

Noooooo bad lurking bad! ... actually lurking is fine we have a lot of lurkers, but I prefer posters to lurkers heh, for obvious reasons... gives me more to bitch about. =D

My biggest qualms with most religions is they encourage ignorance. Back in the middle ages the black plaque was thought to be the work of witches, not an illness. Such ignorance persists today. Ignorance itself is not a crime, everyone is ignorant in one way or many others. Choosing to be ignorant is a crime however. Instead of trying to understand something and chalking it up to something other worldly is a great example. Humans used to think the sun revolved around us, used to believe the world was flat. Just because we don't understand something today, doesn't mean we won't tomorrow. So long as we carry our curiousity and desire to understand while not burying our heads in the sand. It just kills me how little some people seem to wish to know about even the most fundamental things that exist. What we have today would scare the bell out of someone from the middle ages. All because they didn't understand. Forgive my rant. x:

I will attempt to post more than usual, can't make promises.

    • I’m feeling the temptation to get dressed and go out to the store to get some dessert.  I’m also feeling restraint because I’m not going to do that, even though I physically feel the temptation.
    • I had two dreams last night. The first was about a man in a director-level importance coming and going from his office. He had trouble with his feet, and it was painful for him to walk. He wore large, warm boots similar to mukluks but comically large. He shuffled while wearing them. When it came time for an important meeting, he switched to a different, more normal boots and walked normally despite being in pain. Then he returned to the large boots. I was watching him from a mall bench outside his office the entire time. The second was about me and my coworker sitting in a room similar to a large, tiered lecture hall. Our boss would bring us comically tall stacks of paper and told us to sort it. The papers were large packets of information on various things, and most of it was basically meaningless. We pointed this out, and my boss shrugged and said "I know" and gave a sympathetic half-smile. There was no way to sort it in a way that mattered. Eating strong cheese before bed is a fun experience. I highly recommend experiencing cheese dreams at least once in your life.
    • It's Tuesday and I'm thinking it's time to get things done.  I just decided to start all over again from scratch. 1. Handle Truck Situation 2. Handle Appointment 3. Handle Yardwork 4. Prepare for Wednesday
    • Why has there been a truck parked outside my window for hours? Glad I don't have a stalker because this truck would be blocking their view.    Had  a dream I was in Pennsylvania with my bf but he didn't look like my bf it was one of them someone physically represented him but you just know it's that person dreams,  ya know?
