A "story" I wrote a little while ago while I was bored.

He woke up on the ground face wet from the rain. Covered in dirt and ratted clothes. He sat up and looked around soon realizing he was in a graveyard. He didn't know how he got there, all he knew is he that he wanted to go hoke. He got up and started walking towards his house. The rain had stopped by now with only clouds as a reminder. He walked past people on the streets, some he knew, some he didn't. He walked past his friend Joshua. Joshua didn't notice, so he walked up to Joshua. "Hey man can you believe this", he said pointing toward his clothes. "I woke up in a graveyard". Joshua didn't say anything. "Hey man, it's me Eric". Joshua still didn't say anything. "Why are you ignoring me"? Still nothing. Eric shrugged and kept walking. "Maybe Joshua didn't want anybody to know he knew me", he thought, given his current state of looking disarray. He continued walking down the street. He looked people in the eye and thought it was funny how no one looked at him at all given his current look.

He kept walking and saw a grocery store. He decided to go in. He felt like he hadn't ate in 3 days. He walked in and walked to the back where the deli was. He grabbed a pre-made ham and cheese sandwich, some chips and a cola. He walked to the front and stepped in line. When it was his turn he tried to hand the cashier his money but instead she didn't even look at him. "Excuse me ma'am, I'd like to pay for my purchases". Instead the lady that was in back of him was suddenly in front of him paying for her purchases. He shrugged and walked towards the door expecting the security guard to say something to him. No such luck. The security guard didn't even look at him. He couldn't help but wonder why no one even acknowledged him. He just walked out and sat on a bench and started to eat his meal. He took a bite of his sandwich and some kids with their parents walked past him. He expected his look would scare the kids but it didn't. He took a chug of his pop. As he sat there and ate people continued to walk by and not even glance at him.

He finished the last of his meal and got up to finish walking to his house. He was sure his family would be happy to see him, given the fact he had no idea how long he had been gone. When he reached his house he walked up to the front porch, turned the handle and walked in. "Hey family"! No one looked. He though maybe they couldn't hear him over the TV, so he walked in front of it and shouted "HEY FAMILY"! No one even glanced. "Hey guys, why are you ignoring me"? He walked up to his mom, "Mom, don't ignore me please". She got up and walked to the stove. He followed. "Mom! can't you hear me? Can't you see me"? She went about her business making dinner. He walked back to the living room and sat next to his sister. "Ashley, can you hear me"? She laughed at something on TV. He touched her shoulder. She flinched. "Ashley did you feel that"?! She didn't answer though. He got up and screamed "Can anyone hear me"? No one even turned.

He ran out the door and down the street screaming "Can anyone hear me? Please someone answer me". He ran past the grocery store, "Can anyone hear me"? No one even blinked. He walked up to a man flailing his arms. "Sir, if you can hear me PLEASE say something"! The man just continued walking til he got in his car and drove off. He continued running and screaming down the street, no one even looking twice. He ran past a bus stop full of school children and past a group of guys skateboarding. He finally came to the graveyard and walked in. He walked around frantically looking for anything out of the ordinary, nothing catching his eye. He walked down a row of graves reading each one out loud. "James Blare 1959-2010, Mary Davis 1995-2006, David Johnson 1932-2009, Reginald Miles 1925-2008, Melanie Robinson 1973-2006. The last grave made him stop in his tracks. He slowly read it out loud, his voice shaky and cracking. "Eric Daniels 1987-2011". "I'm dead".
