Yes.

I like both, depending on who or what it is.

But I lean more to the Industrial/Electronic...

I figured with you being A City Club goer. (that is not an insult before people start throwing accusations)

2 for industrial/Electronic

1 for goth/punk

Im so damn picky with both the genres that I cant fairly say. This is more for everyone else than my opinion though.

IMHO, I have to go with Goth/Punk. Even though I’ve spent more time on electronic music than my guitar, much of it was inspired by the "neo-chamber-music" of Post-Rock, along with Ozzy, and Sabbath. Not to write electronic music out, especially synth strings and what they‘ve done for so much music. Since its some of my favorite music I also have to say there aren‘t enough Indie rock bands in the post-punk vein; especially in the US, whereas the UK currently has some of the best.

This is really hard, especially where each scene stands nowadays. I can't really be arsed with punk much nowadays, unless it's art school post-punk stuff, ala Orange Juice or anarcho stuff like Zounds or Flowers in the Dustbin.

Goth is kind of stale right now, but I'm going to say Goth/Punk because that's what I grew up on.

But I'd prefer to and will continue to support analog electronics and the vibrant minimal-synth scene nowadays.

North America has a very plentiful post-punk scene too.

Channel 3x4, Automelodi, Silk Flowers, Mika Miko, These are Powers, Ancient Crux (anything on Family Time records), Rapid Youth, Ariel Pink, Blank Dogs, Crocodiles, Crystal Stilts, Dum Dum Girls, MINKS, Eat Skull, Factums, Kurt Vile, Woods, Mi Ami, etc x 10000.

US has better goth bands too, especially out on the Northwest coast!

I will have to look into them. :X Literally, the only band on that list I've heard of between Last.FM and Youtube is MINKS.

MINKS is awesome. Captured Tracks records is a brilliant label. Half of their discography is on constant rotation at Something Cold. Cosmetics, Soft Metals, Blank Dogs, Further Reductions, etc!

Blank Dogs are tops and if you dig Jesus & Mary Chain you'll dig Crocodiles. And Crystal Stilts is very much at the top of my list there.

I see. I ended up favoriting Blank Dogs - No Compass on YT, lol.

    • What If I actually finish my Masters degree? Like what if I don't screw up? I mean I am almost half way finished. The part that scares me is the amount of money that it costs and the fact I have to do an internship the last two semesters,  I mean I have burned some bridges in the field um, lots of bridges like I'm cool with people from Jobs I've quit though but this field I been kinda medically retired and it sucks, I want to try and fix myself..my health has improved a lot but I'm still crazy as hell. My bf was impressed because when he first met me we was drinking one night and I was being a goof as I do but all of a sudden my mom's friend called me and wanted me to help her with a situation involving her son and the court system and I immediately sobered up and told her what they should expect and what they could do and my bf was like,  wow, you just snapped right into business like no problem.  I was like yea, I'm not completely crazy yet. Lol Ok ramble over. I'm killing time until this Midnite and Nyquil kick in.
    • The poor lady across the hall is elderly and lives all alone. She has a cat at least one that I seen on her balcony (we had a staring contest) Anyway, the cat piss stench permeates all the way through the door into the hall and into our apartment.  It's so bad like concerningly so. She is very independent, seems very sweet but I don't think she'll allow me to help her out because one day she was trying to get up the stairs with a couple bags and I offered to help but she thanked me very gratefully and said she was OK. I don't want to say anything about the smell and my bf is nose blind and only noticed because I pointed it out.  The smell though..I hate seeing elderly people who have noone😢
    • ..and went for my fifth walk today just now.
    • I probably should clean my outlook lol.
