So, I'm going through various industrial ebm blogspots and news and I've noticed a weird trend this year.

Old skool artists coming out with CDs.

Here's the line up.

Skinny Puppy- June

X-Marks the Pedwalk- March and April [bonus CD]

Wumpscut- April

Laether Stip- Feb [The best of] and March [actual album]

Revolting Cocks- April

Thrill Kill Kult- March

Find it kinda weird. Most of these bands disappeared for more than 4 years. All went on tour as of late.

Disappeared? Hardly. Besides, it takes more than a release to be a comeback. :wumpscut: has released the same shit just about every year. So does Leather Strip, but at least his shit is halfway decent. Another new RevCo you say? Al J isn't even in the group anymore.

Al J left? That's somewhat of a surprise. He's been off and on for the last 15 years.

And true!

Leather Strip annual remix CD is lol each year.

Nitzer Ebbs new one came out last year. Called Industrial Complex. It is awesome. and also RAD!

And yeah, of the bands listed above only X Marks could count as a comeback. It seemed they were long gone, but thankfulyl are back. The others have been releasing stuff sporadically in the last 5 years, including Thrill Kill Kult who signed and released a new CD on the italian Rustblade label last year.

Other Noteworthy comebacks of late include:

Vomito Negro - New CD Skull and Bones released this year is their first since 2002. EXCELLENT CD.

former 80's EBM act Borghesia released a cd of all new material recently.

Unit 187 - New CD "Out for Blood" first new music since 2003.

and Atari Teenage Riot, LPF12, K-Nitrate, Devo, Page all have new stuff on the way too...
